I was disappointed with ABN 16 but was over the moon with ABN 17 (what I've played so far). Colours are bright, game play is flawless. I'm on WIN11 and had no problems.

The numbers DO pop out when you hover over those spots where you can't read the number. That has always been a feature for me in previous ABN games. (I'm referring to the previous reviewer's comments who is complaining that this ...Show more

If like me you like to colour by colour rather than in sequence of numbers, you'll be pleased to note that it doesn't bounce you back to the lowest number, but continues on. This is good when you're on the next section of colours. Show less

So just a brief review here since it won't be of any use anyway. No use writing anything other than saying it's a beautiful game, well worth buying and the colors and images are outstanding. However, imo, Art By Number 17, doesn't have enough images with full backgrounds. Still it's a winner and a definite purchase for me! Show less

I always look forward to Art By Numbers...they are undoubtably the best in this genre. As always, the colors are vibrant and bold, the subject matter interesting. Looking forward to more!

Such a wonderful, relaxing pastime. I would like more images, naturally, but they are nearly all great ones. The vibrant colors and intricate images are wonderful. I could do without the basic ones, though. If the developers feel the need of a beginner level, one demo would do. Otherwise, keep up the great job, and the low amount of human figures.

I recommend this game!

Love this game as much as the other 16 that I have bought. The only downside is that the makers have went back to putting in very small areas for the colours which I find very frustrating . Just don't think they add anything to the game play apart from being annoying.

I recommend this game!

This game is great... But I can no longer find Art by Numbers & Art Coloring games. The searches for BOTH games is useless. Never happened with the original owners. I could do a search and find any game. Now the brilliant, new owners seem to have lots of stuff messed up. How sad. I have bought over 100 Collector Edition H.O. Games. I know what I am doing. I have NO technical issues.

As usual, Awigor's paint games are an auto-buy for me, and this issue is more stunning than the last.

WHY THE 4 STARS

1. The game does not tray well, at least on my laptops (win 10 & win11). I can click on the Windows icon, but the game remains in full screen until I click on a tray icon.

3. I had just finished a rather complex design when I had to pause. When I lifted the pause, the entire image was back to blank. Haven't had this issue before, and I own all the Awigor paint games.

I have played every game in this series so I will detail here what has improved and what needs to be improved. I will start with the bad so we can end on a positive note.

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT:

1. The developer includes a disgusting-looking robot in every game. The robot appears to be a mascot. I am not opposed to robots, but this one is hideous and boring, reflecting the work of an uninspired designer. If this robot appears in the next game in this series, it will be the last Art by Numbers game I will buy. That is how much I detest that repulsive thing.

2. There are too many pictures of animals and scantily clad women. The way the women are posed suggests the designer is a 12-year-old boy.

3. For at least the first two or three levels, there are ridiculously easy pictures. This happens in every game in this series. These easy pictures rob players of getting full value for their money. I have complained about this before, but will repeat my reproach: this game is about COLORING and EVERYONE knows how to color. NO ONE needs entry-level pictures. If people cannot figure out how to color, there is no way they figured out how to get on a computer, download the game, open and play it.

IMPROVEMENTS MADE:

1. The developers listened on complaints about the thick, muddy colors we have been forced to use in every game in this series. The colors in this game are beautiful, vivid hues and are delightful to use. They are crisp and very enjoyable. Pictures come out lovely. Thanks to the developer!

2. Although the picture choice still needs a lot of improvement, it truly has been upgraded. When the pictures aren't animals or scantily clad women, they are really lovely. I hope the developer continues this trend of improving picture choice.

3. As always, the user interface is perfect and second to none. For the two or three people who complain about some coloring spots being too small to see at normal range, I have two words: ZOOM IN!

To the developer I say: get rid of the easy pictures, animals, girls in suggestive poses, and the disgusting robot, but keep up the good work on the crisp colors and picture choice improvements. Oh, and hurry to get Art by Numbers 18 to BFG! Show less
