It is forgiving and you can go back to right where you missed something rather than going all the way back to the beginning. Even my old fingers (77 yrs) can handle the forward and backward arrows. I do have to remember to change them tho.
Maybe it is just that it is so different from the usual games but give it a try. As everyone says - you may like it.

Lately, it seemed like Big Fish was never going to offer anything new. The only games offered over the last few months have been Painting games, Mosaic games, and HOPASs by the same developer (it was hard to tell the difference from one series to another they were that similar!), and hardly any of these games were from a new developer.
Today, the mold has been broken with not only a new game by a new developer (just new to BF-European tv channel Arte) but a game from a whole new genre! A creative game, a game with beautiful graphics and a story that unfolds as we lead two little dots through the evolution of Fonts. It's a Word game, it's a Platform game, it's an Educational game, it's a Manual Dexterity game, it's challenging, and it's fun!
This game won't be for everyone, first of all, you'll have to use the ARROW KEYS & SPACEBAR to control the twin dots. Type:Rider is basically a Platformer game so you'll have to be able to maneuver the dots using arrow keys while executing jumps using the spacebar to avoid traps and various hazards. You won't necessarily have to move fast, in fact, sometimes it's beneficial to go slow and sometimes even hunker down in place to avoid obstacles, and in some cases, you'll have to time your moves to avoid things like dripping lava, or giant stamps that smash to the ground!
There are 10 Chapters, 1 Tutorial, 1 Hidden, and 8 Main Chapters representing the various eras of typography, each covering an era-related Font, the idea is to collect all of the strategically placed letters and asterisks, from A to Z (different level, different font) Each Chapter has 2 Puzzle sections and a White Ball that must be guided to a recessed area along with the two Black Dots (I think it's supposed to represent a Colon?) After placing the 3 dots, which isn't as easy as it sounds, you click the Up Arrow to complete the level.
As I stated earlier, some will hate this game because of the Arrow Key controls which require quite a bit of manual dexterity, however, there doesn't seem to be a limit to the number of lives you get so you may just want to give it a try if you make a mistake and die, the game picks back up right before the area you made the oopsy. Just keep trying different tactics until you solve the problem at hand, for example, SPOILER ALERT: get a running start to push the box onto the spikes versus bumping it off. A harder thump puts the box midway therefore it's easier to make the jump. When you come to the stamper, lay low in the middle recess until it lifts back up. The physics could be a little more fine-tuned to be more practical, but at least you aren't limited to only moving forward, as is the case in some platformer games, and you get plenty of "redo" chances in order to fine-tune your solution.

There are certain games that I do not like at all such as art games, that is me but I certainly would not label them garbage .
I know a few developers who rely on reviews to be able to adapt their games as they care about their players. They also do get a bit down when they get bad reviews and they immediately think, where did I go wrong and what can I do to put it right.
In this case this is a game that will appeal to a certain type of people, some will like it, some won't but I think it is a bit unfair to label a game garbage and give it 1 star.
What I will say is take note of the more positive reviews, play the demo and try for yourself.
If you hate a game that much then do not comment or give a comprehensive review as to why you hate a game.
This takes some getting used to and Pennmom has described this game perfectly. It is not going to please everyone but for me,it is great.

Based on purchased game,
Fonts are little pieces of art we use and view everyday, from your own handwriting to huge blazing ads on Broadway. This is the story of how we have gone from no written word to where we are today, awash in the written word and vibrant typestyles. (Search "free fonts" and tighten your seatbelt!)

Through the ages, man has been driven by the need to communicate beyond oral history. Bless Monotype for supporting the developers of this game, a historical journey of the fulfillment of that need through the use of wonderful gameplay.
This is a Point and Click game using your keyboard and occasionally your mouse to move 2 dots through scene after stunning scene. Think Warcraft and early Tomb Raider. If you've never played without a mouse, or limited use of one, you'll be surprised at how quickly you adapt :)
Give it a go - this one is a rare experience. Show less

Yes, it's not for eeryone, but I really love these kinds of game - Fetch, Leaves, this one. If you like those, you'll probably like this one. I wish there were more of them and they were released here earlier (this was originally released in 2017 but just showed up on BFG). It's a nice alternative to what's feeling like a lot of really repetitive adventure and puzzle games lately, and I feel like these little games coming up are why I hang onto my club membership.
It's quick to get the hang of the arrows and space bar navigation. Some of the levels, especially the last chapter, are pretty challenging to complete, and you have to be dextrous. It's an easy one to play a bit, take a break, and come back to in order to beat those levels. Nice graphics, music, and historical text elements. Show less

I never write reviews, but I have to on this one. This is a perfectly designed problem-solving puzzle game--challenging, aesthetically delightful, and witty (I laughed at loud with the psychedelic segment). Kudos to the developers, and kudos to BFG for recently bringing something new -- beautifully crafted puzzle games that challenge the mind and delight the eye.

I gave the game a go, and liked what I have played so far, a lot.
From time to time, you have to put your thinking cap on, and the tutorial at the beginning is very helpful, and necessary, so you get the hang of things.
For example, you use your arrow keys to move little balls, and the space bar to jump over things. Sounds simple, but it's not all plain sailing, or rather rolling.
