An adventure game with a great plot

I am hoping that Bigfish will obtain more adventure games like this. There are many that are perhaps not made by big name developers but are worth investigating. I have this game on another platform but am purchasing it here too; nice to have a backup. I am hoping that Bigfish will obtain more adventure games like this. There are many that are perhaps not made by big name developers but are worth investigating. I love the game; the plot is tight and well developed the characters well fleshed out with excellent voice acting and yes, there is NO HAND HOLDING.
There are no morphing items to find, no hog piles, no cute helpers. It is an adventure game and I am so pleased to see it here. There are about three others by this same company that would be amazing to see here as well.
The actifX is really a non issue, I have this game and many others like it as I said and my computer is still running well after many years. I recommend this game whole heartedly; give it a try! Show less

What a refreshing change from the endless hidden objects, match 3s, and other RSI inducing clicking games. Back to the old days - when you had to take your time, listen and think, put a bit of effort into playing a game, not just rely on hand-holding hints and tedious clicking all over the screen. A breath of fresh air for me. Loving every minute of this game. Thanks bigfish!

This review is base only on Demo. First thing is you are asked to download Activex (?) which I did not so it may have affected the play. I am glad to see a new option in games. This may be an old style game to some but I did enjoy the challenge, finally. You have to figure it out for yourself, No help that I could find, you do need to think and listen. I don't understand the bad reviews. Awesome game. You just have to LISTEN carefully when they are talking so you know what to do next. Yes, it is a lot of talking but I really enjoy it. Remember IT IS AN ADVENTURE GAME. We need more adventure games. There is thousands HO games.

I really enjoy these older style games that are novella mysteries. They are not the just point and click, need a hint get one, type of game. One can actually become engrossed in the story. I rated the visuals and sound based on the year of game, not by today's standards. Suggest you turn the voice all the way up in the controls and also enable subtitles. Wish they still made games like this one.

good game, bit oldfashioned but addictive story. It takes a while but with some try and error i always found my way (excepttion: the catacombs. It was sheer luck i found my target, most of the time i had no idea where i was going)
The only annoying thing is the "Game error" messages that pop up at several opportunities. Saving a lot helps, though

This is much better than the other CGI game. The graphics are much better, more detailed. You are not overwhelmed with dialog and once engaged the dialog is automatic. The dialog is not as goofy as in the other game either. The 2 end chapters is mostly automatic. Music is OK.

This is much better than the other CGI game. The graphics are much better, more detailed. You are not overwhelmed with dialog and once engaged the dialog is automatic. The dialog is not as goofy as in the other game either. The 2 end chapters is mostly automatic. Music is OK.

There are few puzzles and they can be tough. Like the other game there are no hints so havening a walk-through would be handy. The game play interface is somewhat unusual from other games. You can bypass the auto-play sequences by hitting the escape key. Navigation and finding things can be tough too. It has a jump map but no real help. The game crashed several times during play when I did too fast clicking on things. This happened with the other CGI game too. Save your game at strategic points.

The game has an ironical ending.

I don't like how the interface plays on this game but it is intriguing and challenging. Because of having no hints or lack of hints I don't recommend this game but it's not as quirky as the other CGI game. Show less
