I have many of the Art by Number games, so this one caught my eye and the description made me curious. It was really interesting to see the difference in the pictures as compared to Art by Number. I have many of the Art by Number games, so this one caught my eye and the description made me curious. It was really interesting to see the difference in the pictures as compared to Art by Number. The pictures in Art by Number are gorgeous, but not realistic. They are more in the fantasy genre, but they are spectacular and I love those games. With those games I feel like I'm filling in the painting with the brush. With Art Coloring, I felt like the painting was already there and as I clicked on the numbered spaces I was removing the spaces to reveal the covered picture. There are no black lines in the finished paintings which is one reason they look so terrific. The pictures are truly beautiful. Between the two different games, I'm going to be painting for a long time. Both are terrific choices and I was really happy to add this one to my Game Manager after completing about 4 pictures. The mechanics of the two games are the same, but the pictures are strikingly different and I like both of them equally, but for different reasons. The challenge part for me is finding those very tiny little spaces that are difficult to spot unless I magnify the picture quite a bit. I'm sure the developers enjoy putting in those little specks of space, knowing the gamer will have to really search to find them all. Painting heaven!! Show less

I have played several different paint by number games. I don't need to go into great detail about the gameplay. The ones that are my favorite are Art by number and this one. They are more realistic than others I have done. I bought it before my trial period was done. I recommended this game.

Awigor has been working on its programming with amazing results. It's hard to keep my review short of over-enthusiasm.

Note: If you've never indulged in one of Awigor's products before, they begin with a truly excellent tutorial pane that can be easily dismissed by clicking on the checkmark at the bottom.

Since this is an Awigor product, I bought it without looking. Opened the first page, first project: jaw dropped.

The new color blending is beautiful, lending a realistic look to each image (yeah, I skipped around to see how other images were handled).

We have been given sports images, portraits, animals that look so alive you want to reach out and pet them, and more.

Essentially, they have chosen very interesting photographs from all over the world and, using a great variety of subtle colors and shades, have rendered projects that are a pure joy to paint.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must get back to that page 1, project 1 that I left to explore the game and write this review. :D Show less

How could you possibly not like a game that offers Paint By Numbers and Pixel Art in the same game? The colors are fantabulous, realistic, and beautiful and they allow you to choose between a Flat or 3D style which adds highlights for an even more realistic painting.

How could you possibly not like a game that offers Paint By Numbers and Pixel Art in the same game? The colors are fantabulous, realistic, and beautiful and they allow you to choose between a Flat or 3D style which adds highlights for an even more realistic painting.

I'll be honest, I didn't even realize there was a Pixel Art option until the end of the demo when I forced myself to stop painting and check out the other features, and there it was, tucked away in a different free-play section! WOW

I have just a few minor complaints that certainly aren't deal-breakers but as one of my favorite reviewers, angelfish106 stated, I too hate that Robot! (the devs must not care about him either if they gave him a generic name...Helper?)

I was a tad disappointed that almost all of the images are staged images and they didn't include a background to paint. It's kind of annoying when you play a painting game but all you get to paint is a small image slapped in the center of the page! I do, however, love how this developer takes advantage of the full-color palette spectrum to add slightly different hues to give the painting a dimensional depth!

My last complaint is that the Settings Options are difficult to figure out what each option does because there are no instructions. There are no options to select a specific color for the "grey" areas (other than light grey, dark gray. When an image uses similar grey colors early on, it's almost impossible to see the greyed in areas and some of the images had very tiny areas to find. If I could choose my own color I wouldn't have had to use the Hint button so often simply because I couldn't see a tiny grey area! I do love the cell counter that tells me how many cells I still have to find!

I have all the Art by Number games released by Big Fish (there are more from Awigor, lots more up to 19) and this one was an auto buy immediately. I checked out this series of games on their site and WOW! There are 2 more in this series and I wish they'd get on Big Fish ASAP.

As someone with carpal tunnel, it would be very nice to just wave the mouse cursor over the block to be colored and have it done rather than holding it down. Another game on Big Fish has coloring as a mini game and you do not have to hold the mouse button down so I know it can be done.
The robot doesn't bother me, just like frogs and that chocolate bar don't bother me from other games, just a trade mark and to each their own! Show less

Sadly I have already bought this one and also Art Coloring #2 from a different game site. But I will hold off for #3 until BF gets it. Many many good pictures in this series, and you don't have to complete any levels to see them all. That's a big plus for me. I want to see what I'm buying! I enjoy these coloring games, and find them very relaxing. Now all I buy is this series, and also Art By ...Show more

I have now forgiven Awigor for the silly helper robot in their 'Rainbow Mosaics' series. This is how painting by numbers should be done, at least for me. The images are real, not multi-coloured, psychedelic animals or objects.

Here, you get a choice to paint in flat or raised style, the latter giving a more realistic, 'painted' finish to the pictures. I don't use the brush icon but it gives ...Show more

Here, you get a choice to paint in flat or raised style, the latter giving a more realistic, 'painted' finish to the pictures. I don't use the brush icon but it gives you the option to give the pictures a 'brush-stoke' texture, which I tried and it does look really nice.

There is also a counter for each colour, so you know if you've missed any of those teeny, tiny dots and a hint to show you where they are. The only downside (for me) is there's a picture of that blasted robot but hooray, you can now go to any level without having to finish the first one! So I can skip the robot :-)

Well done Awigor; this is a perfect paint by numbers game for me and an instant buy. Show less

I love the Art by Numbers series, and my favorites pictures in those have always been those that tend towards the more realistic. This game takes that to a whole new level. I played two pictures in my trial period, and will be buying this immediately.

This program takes Art by # to a whole new level. I love the way all the lines disappear as you color it leaving behind a clear
picture. As with Art by #, I like the counter that lets you know how many pieces need to be colored. I can't wait for more releases of this game to hit the market!
