Yes,it's the same old thing--Solitaire. For those of us who just like to play solitaire,it doesn't matter The storyline is incidental.
If you don't care for it,then move on to something you do like. I just like playing a new solitaire game.

This is the typical up/down solitaire but the art is nice and the games are challenging enough to be enjoyable. Some folks don't like that when you've found all the gold cards the hand is over even with more cards on the board, but I like that. This is the typical up/down solitaire but the art is nice and the games are challenging enough to be enjoyable. I love these games. Easy to learn (choosing a card either up or down from the one displayed), but always a challenge. The oftentimes really beautiful artwork and music are a lovely bonus.

SAME scene graphics as the previous Detective Solitaire games, SAME board layouts as the previous Detective Solitaire games, and the SAME features as the previous Detective Solitaire games, and I do mean EXACTLY the same. I'm pretty sure this Detective "Ghost Agency" does NOT need my help, but the game itself DOES need help because it's just another replica of all their other solitaire games designed to make you think they have offered a new game just so they can take your hard-earned money!

Once again, there are 9 Card Graphic Themes to choose from and 3 Font sizes (traditional, themed, and large font) The music isn't bad, but yes, it too is the same, not to mention that at times the music pauses and you're left with awkward silence.

As usual, the game begins with a tutorial in Newbie Mode which allows you to replay any level. After completing the tutorial or opting out by clicking on the tutorial X, you can choose the Professional Mode which only allows you to play the entire 10 level pack.

This is a Higher/Lower style Solitaire game where the only goal is to remove all of the Gold Cards. Once the gold cards have been collected, you will earn the maximum amount of points and the game ends even if other regular cards remain. If you remove all gold cards you'll get a perfect score and the points of that level are added to the next level similar to bowling scores. You must earn the required amount of points to unlock the next location and there are 20 Locations with 10 levels per location.

When you remove cards with a round blue gem, you will receive either +499 points, a Joker, a Shuffle, or Mulligan (undo) and you can buy Jokers, Shuffles, and Mulligans within the Shop with the points you have earned, at a ridiculous price point of 2500-8000-5000. Exactly the same Shop items that are available in every single solitaire game by this developer...but then again, you probably don't need any other bonuses, what's the point when their idea of a "Perfect Score" doesn't involve removing all cards?

Once again, this game states that there are Achievements to earn, but I've yet to earn one, but then again, I didn't play further than the demo because I have no desire to waste money on a game that has nothing new to offer, and never gives me the option to continue playing after removing all Gold Cards. I refuse to even use a PCC. When and if they decide to change something other than the title, I may consider it, but only if they make an option that allows me to remove all of the cards, not just the Gold Cards because that is what a Perfect Score means to me!

I nearly gave up on the demo when on level 2 I ended up with 17 cards left for a perfect score. How on earth is this perfect?

I persevered in the hope that one of the mysterious clues would turn up but alas no.
I so wanted to help the detective to break the monotony.
I know and respect that there are people who love these games otherwise why would they keep producing them but I tell you this, if only they listen to what we are saying. they would sell a lot more games than they do now.

I would think it is important nowadays to please your audience as the more you do that the more you are going to sell,

This high/low solitaire never offers anything to warrant purchasing. The levels are very easy, the graphics and cards are ugly. The developer seems to be really attached to this game because other than the title it NEVER, EVER changes. Each of the 12 locations contain 10 levels and the next location is unlocked after earning the necessary number of points. Replay any level in Newbie Mode. In Professional Mode you can only replay the entire 10 levels. The Gold Cards allow you to earn a perfect score and roll the points over to the next level, so it's easy to rack up enough points when you want to visit the Shop with its scant inventory.

This is a plain, easy solitaire to grab when you want to kick back and play without much thought or challenge and you don't care that the Gold Cards determine when the level finishes. If you are a fan of this series and this developer's games, you will be pleased that nothing has changed. If you have never played any of them you may find that entertainment awaits, however, there will be no need to buy future games unless you just like to see new graphics.

I do keep checking the demoes, hoping that the dev has finally stepped up and revamped the game. Good card games don't come along that often at BF, so solitaire lovers are always on the look-out. But for me, again, this is a no-go! Show less

It would be so nice if they could come up with a change in the way the game is played. The starting hand is the same and continues through the game. I would recommend it for anyone who has not played this before.
