I've got the original Patchwork and have always enjoyed it. Nice relaxing artwork puzzle that can be played over and over. I've also got some other versions (like the wintery Frozen Patchworks). There are 25 levels in the first location and 6 locations so a lot of levels. And based on the others I expect the levels will get harder with more pieces and less filled in at the start.
Not sure if there will be different types of textures (like wood, stone, paper, cloth) as in previous Patchworks but I hope so. The sound effect always matched the texture which I liked.
The puzzle images are very good with lots of details and color. Very enjoyable to look at while doing.
I dont think getting music and wallpapers makes it CE worthy. You also get 3 more locations which would be nice. But I'll wait for the standard version to buy. Especially since all those music tracks are probably what is making the game 700MB. Really dont need a space hog on my computer.
Try it for yourself - its a great chill out sort of game. Show less

In the first Country India the levels are quite easy but don't let that put you off.
The further in you get the more challenging it becomes although I would correct one thing in Australia.
The Kiwi is a New Zealand bird and being a Kiwi myself just had to mention that.
Some of the tiles are fabric, some rock and so on ,
As soon as the demo ran out half way through Australia I just had to buy and am now really enjoying the game.
It is challenging now and nice to do a couple every now and then.
For me although it really is just the 75 extra levels you get I feel it was worth it as there is a BOGO and I got a free standard game.
So give it a go bearing in mind it does get more challenging and some of the images are wonderful. You should be able to get half way in to Australia in the demo time.
A great effort from BF to put this up and for trying to provide us with different things.
Much appreciated

I like these types of puzzles. I have several and they're called Mosaics. I like this one ok, but once you come to Germany they start getting harder. Hard enough to not be that enjoyable. The pieces tend to be long and narrow and a lot less of other shapes. If you can't find all of one picture you can replay it, BUT, here's the deal; if you don't want to redo it immediately you can't go back later ...Show more

The pieces tend to be long and narrow and a lot less of other shapes. If you can't find all of one picture you can replay it, BUT, here's the deal; if you don't want to redo it immediately you can't go back later and redo it. I haven't finished the whole thing yet so I don't know if it will let you redo them after you've been to all of them. That remains to be seen. On the more difficult ones it's very hard to see all the spaces and some actually cover a little of what's already down. If you use a hint on the harder ones it doesn't give you time to see just where it goes before the glitter stops. Also I started getting frustrated so I thought I'd go back and play some of less hard ones I already opened, and it won't let you do that. The music is nice. I seldom play music on games but I give them a try, and I actually liked this one's music. I bought this one after the trial, but not sure I'd buy it if I had known how much harder the later one's are. I like a challenge but not when the difficulty makes it so hard it's no longer enjoyable. But give it a try. I see today they posted the same one that's not CE, but I'm not going to download it. I'm so happy to get another one of these puzzle games. These are my favorite type of game and favorite type of puzzle. I love it when the pieces sometimes look like paper, sometimes wood, etc. Pretty pictures and some are very challenging, too. Please make more!

First of all, let's give credit to New Bridge, they have created a gorgeous game and I just wanted to make sure that everyone understood that Patchwork: Explore the World is a different game than Patchworkz, Alice's Patchworks, and Frozen Patchworks (those were developed by 2 different developers as well!)
The puzzles couldn't be more beautiful, or more colorful as they span the globe with images from India, Australia, Brazil, Germany, Turkey, and Canada. (USA, Mexico, and Japan in the CE Bonus Chapter) There are 25 puzzles for each country with fragmented pieces of different materials, such as Wood, Paper, and Metal.
Unlike the above-mentioned series, this game has no Timer so it's designed to be a relaxing, Zen kind of puzzle. The problem is, the difficulty doesn't progress fast enough, if at all, and I breezed through the first 2 levels (50 puzzles) before the demo stopped and I still had time left on the demo! I'm okay with Zen, but the pieces were huge and all I had to do was look at the color patterns to get a general idea of their placement, and eventually, I became bored because of the lack of challenge!
You will earn one Star for completing the puzzle, one Star for completing the puzzle with No Mistakes, and the third Star for completing the puzzle without using Hints. One feature they did right, was to add a Magnifying Glass feature that allows you to view your completed puzzles at any time!
If you don't mind that these puzzles can be solved in less than a minute, I do recommend this game because the images are so incredibly beautiful, but for me personally, I need a little more challenge to prevent boredom....but then again, I am a puzzle geek who plays computer jigsaw games every day.
This CE Version has 5 Achievements, 10 Wallpapers, 6 Music Soundtracks, and a Bonus Chapter with 25 puzzles each in the USA, Mexico, and Japan.

These were very simple jigsaw puzzles typically with less than 20 pieces to be placed so there really was no challenge. The title pretty much says it all. This review is based on the demo, from a teacher's viewpoint.
This is a colorful big pieces jigsaw puzzle - made to look like the old wooden puzzles - that won't do much for those of us who no longer have little kids around, but if you do, this game will definitely keep them occupied.

This is a colorful big pieces jigsaw puzzle - made to look like the old wooden puzzles - that won't do much for those of us who no longer have little kids around, but if you do, this game will definitely keep them occupied.
Good for color recognition, connecting space and shapes, but be prepared to look up animals to answer "What is that, Mommy?" with something better than, "Got me, kid." If you are clueless, at least you have the name of the country to search for animals or sights to see in wherever.
There are no fact cards or names for the animals and locations, which would have made the game super educational, but no, which is why I only gave it 3 stars.
If you need to keep kids entertained, with a side of education, give the demo a try and see what you think. Show less

It was ok until I came to the section named Australia and showed a picture of a kiwi. The Kiwi is our national emblem i.e. New Zealand. It has never existed in any other country, including Australia. Makes me wonder what else they got wrong.
