I can't think of a single reason a solitaire fan would pass on purchasing this game. While most developers are offering less and less nowadays, Suricate Software crams the entire Atlantic Ocean into every game...and who doesn't want to rebuild Atlantis?

I can't think of a single reason a solitaire fan would pass on purchasing this game. While most developers are offering less and less nowadays, Suricate Software crams the entire Atlantic Ocean into every game...and who doesn't want to rebuild Atlantis?

This is a Higher/Lower Solitaire, but they also offer a Classic Solitaire Bonus Room that has Klondike, Spider, Freecell, Yukon, Pyramid (my favorite), and Baker's Dozen. As you progress, you will unlock 12 Different Solitaire Versions with the Stars you earn playing the Main Game, and these Bonus Solitaire Game variants always differ from the previous Atlantis Games!

Solitaire Variants:
Free Klondike~Stook~Barrier~Feu Follett~Commodore~Shy Queens~Juvenile~Double Wasp~Sir Tommy~Ambassador~Elba~Julien.

There are 200 main Solitaire Levels that can be played (or replayed) in a Relaxed, Normal, Timed, or Hard Mode. There are 24 Achievement Trophies to earn and I highly recommend that you read them before starting the game because you can earn a Trophy just for selecting various option settings, such as Custom Cursors or Card Backs! There are 4 Card Backs to choose from and 3 Card Fonts, a traditional, antique, and themed style.

The goal is to Remove Cards that are either one card Higher or one card Lower than the Deck Card...AND you get to remove all of the cards on the board, not just the special "gold cards-game over" which is the case in those cookie-cutter Solitaire Games by the Basement Floor developer! Each level has at least one Emerald to uncover, the Emeralds are used to purchase Castle sections, and rebuild Atlantis! (The completed Castles then become available as Wallpapers)

Some Cards contain Coins that can be used in the Shop to purchase Power-ups, Wildcards, or convenience features such as a Deck Card Counter~Earn Extra Gold~Remove a Random Card~Remove a Specific Card~Reveal some Face Down Cards~Extra Shuffle and Undo features~Card Specific Wildcards~Jokers, and the Chance to Receive Wildcards and Jokers during the Levels.

As you progress, Obstacle Cards are added to the challenge, such as Lock & Key Cards, Frozen Cards that require two Plays to remove them, Chain & Hammer Cards, Ribbon & Scissor Cards, Seaweed & Sword Cards, Red & Black Sealed Cards or Suit Specific Cards that require removing Red and Black Suit Cards or cards in a specific Suit, such as Clubs, Hearts, Diamonds or Spades.

Collector's Edition Extra's:
This CE version includes 200 Extra Solitaire Levels, 6 Classic Solitaire Bonus Levels (Two Bars~Double Easthaven~Busy Aces Twice~Twenty-One~Cornet~Tarbart), 120 Extra Mahjong Games, 120 Extra Challenge Levels, 120 Extra Supersized Levels, 120 Extra Match 2 Levels, 5 Extra Castles, 24 Achievement Trophies & Bonus Achievements, 6 Wallpapers & Extra CE Wallpapers, 10 Music Soundtracks, 4 Card Backs & 4 CE Extra Backs, The Making Of, and 4 Extra Shop Items.

My favorite features in this game:

1- Optional Caves to explore as a Side Quest. The Quests require you to play 4 Challenge levels that reward you with extra coins, emeralds, and new fish.

2-Challenge & Supersized levels that have a ton of cards to remove. It's really satisfying to make huge chains, not to mention that they take longer to complete versus the regular levels that seem to be over within less than a minute.

3-I love that you can click on the screen to quickly bring up the score window, or get to the map rather than waiting for all the theatrics to finish...I have a need for speed, or at least a need to quickly move to the next level lol

4-Love the fish! It's a really cool feature that allows us to select and buy colorful fish to add to the screen!

This put me in a good mood this morning! I can never turn down a Jewel Match solitaire game. Atlantis 3 is the same format as Number 2 except now there is a Match 2 added to the fun. I really love this series as it is always consistent in quality, beauty, length and variety. I think the CE price is well justified.

The card styles are the same as in Atlantis 2. Music, likewise. The myriad of colorful fish are still swimming aimlessly, adding to the beauty of the underwater scenes. The graphics seem a little darker this time but still gorgeous. Rebuilding the waterscapes and collecting new fish are the highlights of the game for me and high/low is my favorite type of solitaire.

With 200 extra levels it is a long game but with 120 extra Supersize, Challenge and Mahjong levels the entertainment seems never-ending. I love the bonus solitaires because it's an opportunity to learn new styles. High/low has always been my preferred game, so something different helps break up the monotony sometimes. I have a couple of issues with the Challenge Levels though.

I hate Mahjong which is part of the Challenge Level and must be played and won in order to obtain a new fish. Needless to say, I reluctantly endure! Also, as the Challenge Levels increase in games and difficulty, completion becomes quite frustrating. Winning the level is the only way to earn the bonus fish. The number of replays goes way too far and it has nothing to do with your solitaire skills. I kid you not, deep into the game a Challenge Level contained 5 game styles and I paid dearly for that doggone new fish by replaying one of the solitaires 39 times. My expert skills mattered not, as we are not really in control of outcome in computer games. This really annoys me but my stubborness reaped the reward! Perfectionism is not a good thing in some cases, lol.

The bonuses and power-ups are always adequate. The shop has plenty to enhance your game and the prices aren't too bad unless you want to increase something you already bought. I usually go right for the extra deck cards and the undo. After that I don't really need much but the random and selected card removal are very useful as the game progresses.

The Jewel Match games are always so entertaining. I've been a fan from way back and continue to play the old ones regularly. Match 3 or Solitaire, the fun and quality are ever-present and I've never experienced any tech issues. I am so happy when a new one comes along for my collection. I also like that the games aren't offered weekly or monthly. For me, the anticipation is always high, waiting for the next one to pop up. That's part of the overall enjoyment!

If you've not yet plunged into the undersea world of Atlantis Solitaire, I think you'll love what you find in the demo. The variety of play modes allow you to choose your challenge and you can switch as you play to test your skills. Show less

The game of solitaire doesn't come better than this. Lots to do and a whole lot of game for your money! Pennmom and Heavenbound did een excellent job describing the game, so I leave it with this. Enjoy!

I was very glad to see another Jewel Match Atlantis. I have all of them and really enjoy playing them since I love ocean games with lots of fish and beautiful scenes.

There have been several changes with morphing cards and a kracken which covers a card and only goes away with a particular card moves (can do without that) but otherwise the scenes are beautiful and the music is enjoyable and not intrusive to the game play.

And THANK YOU to the developer for getting rid of that horrible shriek every time a bonus game pops up. Haven't run into that at least so far. Show less

This is the BEST of the series to date! I almost didn't buy it when I read a review that it's "more of the same". It's not! It has several new and different challenge levels. If you like 1 and/or 2, you'll LOVE this 3rd! 5-Star Rating and I highly recommend!

With that said I definitely recommend this game. It has soothing music, love being able to earn additional fish and a lot of trophies to earn. Like the map layout as they have had for many of their past games. For the price you cannot beat the amount of game play you get with it. Why would you buy 3 if you already have 2? I bought it to build new scenes and like the match 3 addition. If you have never played a Jewel Match series, I recommend you start now! Show less
