Seven Sails has done it again! They have created another fun and addicting Sudoku puzzle game. This is the kind of game that you get so into that when the demo ends you are taken by surprise...and you will be scrambling to click the "Buy Now" tab, guaranteed!

This is a simple puzzle where you are tasked with placing numbers 1-9 in each Square Grid, however, you must make sure that none of the numbers are repeated within the 3 x 3 square grid or within the vertical or horizontal lines.

This may not make sense until you actually play the game, but I found a method that works perfectly and never gets confusing. Numbers are placed permanently when you left-click but if you right-click a cell the numbers 1-9 show up in white text to allow you to choose temporary possible numbers.

What I do is right-click all the numbers to turn them grey, and then I re-click all the numbers that are within that square cell, then I click all the numbers that are in that vertical column, and finally the numbers that are in the same horizontal row. Now those remaining numbers will show up in the cell as the only possible numbers. After repeating this process with each cell, you can go through and easily figure out the rest by the process of elimination. For example, a horizontal line may have only 1 cell that has the number 3 as a possible number so you can definitely left-click to make that number permanent and solve the puzzle by logical eliminations. Don't forget to remove the temporary numbers (by right-clicking) from the square, horizontal & vertical lines after making a number permanent!

I'm completely addicted to games that tease my biological "logic gates". I was hoping for a good sudoku game on the Macintosh and it looks like one has finally come. I missed the first one in the series and will have to check that one out too at some point.

I like this computerized version very much because the pencil and paper one can get messy with lots of eraser marks, little bits of eraser and pencil holes left in the paper.

Here you can annotate your squares with a choice of possibilities by left-clicking on a square and then right-clicking on the numbers. You can then see an array of faint numbers in the square, which is a really nice thing to have! I have played some sudoku games where you don't have that feature. Once you know what the number must be, you can finalize it by left clicking on the number.

The only thing I had an issue with is that the right-click feature on a touchpad can be tricky: often times it gets confused by the game for a left click. Fortunately, you are not penalized for making mistakes while filling in a puzzle. Phew!

The UI is overall pleasant. The graphics are clear and pleasant as well. I almost never have the music on in games, so cannot comment on that. Instead, this game has the sound of waves crashing gently onto a beach, which is also very pleasant and very, very relaxing.

This one is a purchase for me. Show less

I have played the first Edition of Sudoku very often, and i really like it. This 2nd Edition is even better. It is a 4 star game from me.

I recommend this game!
