Why do I say this is for the seasoned player? Because they cram all kinds of HOGs and mini-games into the production, which can be quite a plate for a newbie. You take pictures of the clues to score points.
GOOD:
-choose whether to play male/female character
-pink panther type music
-collect stamps for extra point bonuses
-30 locations

GOOD:
-choose whether to play male/female character
-pink panther type music
-collect stamps for extra point bonuses
-30 locations
-finding blue items in any order gives you bonus points
-finding all items in the exact order of the list gives you mega extra points
-every few levels, there are mini-games (silhouettes, spot differences, find words, et al)
-there are sub-scenes in which to find items (such as in a painting) and same rules apply
-nice use of color
NOT SO GOOD:
-minus points for wrong clicks
-time to recharge hints increases with each use
-some items are rather small (I don't think should add to the level of challenge rating like a well-blended scene would)
-very crowded locations, adding to difficulty of finding objects
If some of the items weren't so small, this would be a buy for me. Alas, my eyes aren't what they used to be so I have to pass - even with a large screen. But consider it if you don't have myopia. Show less
I recommend this game!

This is an older HOP game and the graphics have held up well enough for it to be enjoyable to play although there is some graininess on my newer machine.
Game play consists of HOS and puzzles. There are several unusual features about the HOS. The first is that you take a snapshot of the item once you've found it rather than clicking on it. The game also offers points for collecting the items on the list in order. The lists contain a few special items, which are printed in blue, and you get extra points for collecting these in order too. It seemed that items listed in blue were partially concealed ones where the others were completely visible. Last there are HOS within HOS. The scenes are cluttered and you are timed. Both of these features add some difficulty making the HOS challenging but not frustratingly so.
The puzzles are straightforward and generally easy. There's nothing really innovative in them, especially by current standards, but they are fun to do.
There's a sort of comic-like theme that I found a little corny but the music that comes along with it is cute and doesn't grow annoying.
Overall, this is an older game that is still fun to play. I like doing HOS and that's what I liked about this game...plenty of HOS. People who don't like HOS or timed games will not like this game. People who demand perfect graphics also may not like this game. Someone looking for a temporary reprieve from the running back and forth "adventure" component of today's newer HOPA style games might really enjoy this game as I did. Show less
I recommend this game!

Straight forward hidden object scenes but with a difference. You take photos of objects you find and there's fun or witty little captions at the bottom of every single one. You delve into the domain of mysterious, flawed and larger than life characters and find clues about them. It's all very reminiscent of some of the very early Mystery Case Files games. You delve into the domain of mysterious, flawed and larger than life characters and find clues about them. It's all very reminiscent of some of the very early Mystery Case Files games. If you like this, chances are you'll like Paparazzi, which is very similar in style, graphics and game play.
There are also some unusual and unique puzzles/mini games that you have to complete to finish the chapter. You need quite fast reactions in these, so it's not a relaxing game. Objects are challenging to find sometimes, and downright unfair at times, but the fun aspect more than made up for it I feel.

This game is fun but very repetitive in looking for items in the same location more than once. Items are hard to see as they blend into the background too much. Also some of the mini-games require hitting a target that moves too fast for older hands. Easy to dip into and then come back later.
I recommend this game!

The storyline is very simple - work your way up the ranks of detective by solving cases. The HOGs are very difficult - you have to take a picture of the items and the camera screen is very small and the items are virtually invisible. You do have help from "Kimmy" but she takes time to recharge. Even when I do not care for a game I try to finish so I can give it a truly unbiased review but I could not even finish this game - definitely not for beginners but experts with a magnifying glass may find it fun. Sorry, but this Glam-ma is doing something rare and not recommending this game. Show less

I played about half the demo -- up to the point of having to crack the computer code where you had a list of words, in different colors, and you had to find the word in the correct color on the screen -- the snag was the words only appeared for a couple of seconds and they would flash all over the screen -- multiple words at a time! I played about half the demo -- up to the point of having to crack the computer code where you had a list of words, in different colors, and you had to find the word in the correct color on the screen -- the snag was the words only appeared for a couple of seconds and they would flash all over the screen -- multiple words at a time! I didn't find any and it was timed. All the games are timed. I don't like timed games. Like I said in my title, this game made me feel like a complete novice to HOG. This game is also very juvenile. From the fact that your "helper" is in high school to having to fly to Italy to find a bottle of mouthwash! Really? I don't think so.
This game doesn't have different modes of play. Had they had a timeless mode I would have finished the demo. I'm not sure if I would have purchased it, but I might have.
This game is certainly different. It consists mainly of finding items from a list. You take a picture of your item but it stays on the screen. Each item you pick gives you points -- each item you pick wrong, points are deducted. You also get extra points if you find the objects in order. Most of the items are very small and some items are very hard to distinguish from another. Even using the help to find an item I still couldn't tell what it was. There was a picture where I saw what looked like a fishing "pole" and I clicked on it and was penalized. That wasn't what the game wanted -- it was a fishing "rod" and even with the help, I couldn't see that it was a fishing "rod".
There is also a "collectible" consisting of a stamp, but make sure you see the hand before you click or you will be penalized like I was twice. Just having the stamp centered inside your camera frame isn't enough. You must have the hand to "pick up" your stamp.
I think there is a small community who will find this game challenging, but I am not one of them. I can't recommend this game and I surely won't buy it. I might have liked it if it weren't for the timed clock. That certainly turned me off this game.
You should play the demo to make up your own mind and read some reviews. Show less
