Somehow this developer just always gives this, my favorite TM series just enough mix of old and new to always come up with a winning combination and a totally fun game where strategy is king.

All our old friends are here, John fighting foes, Mary casting spells, max the dog giving baddies a hard time and clearing the noxious weeds...and gremlin, who has extra duties this time. He has taken up fishing too as well as crafting things in the workshop.

This one is full of strategy, and I am glad I have the CE strategy guide which I had to peek at quite early on..go the wrong way...you will repeat. There are many new features, magic brooms needing gold, trees that drop acorns that need food to collect, sludge pools needing wood etc. One of the main new features are the warehouses which are just stocked with free resources. Sometimes I would feel stuck, but had not adjusted my eyes yet to recognize the structures. The graphics are very cute.

But there are all the familiar features like gold bearing trees, manna bridges, skeletons, and the treants etc. I am loving it...three modes as usual, normal timed, relaxed and hard.

There are minigames every so many levels, the puzzle peices which are marked on the level map..and if you miss it..they are on the strategy guide, and you can just go pick it up and leave.

There are an extra 17 levels as the CE bonus content. Nothing alarmingly new that means you are not immersed in a totally familiar game, but gosh you must be on your toes here...its a busy one! Enjoy! Show less

Well number 11 is here and each time these games get more and more of a challenge and they are done in a fun way.

All the familar characters are here and so is the humor. I love the way when the workers are resting they hit the drink but as soon as they are required they sober up instantly lol.

For me this one has so much more challenge and the further in you get to the game the challenge ranks up.

As well as the 70 levels you also get mini games which I am enjoying .
Each level is a different task to do and if all TM games were this quality then we would all be very happy gamers.

Try the demo and see what you think but if you like your TM games I am sure you will like this.

This is only the second strategy game Ive played but can see how it becomes addictive. I played the demo and the characters made me laugh. The dog is so funny and the cannons shooting the men in the backside made me laugh. I liked how in the background there were animals and birds.

I ended up buying the game and hope I will get better at it. Please if you are leaving a review put your favourite strategy game on it so I can have a look.

Still hope big fish will come up with a decent hop but have enjoyed something different. Show less

What a great surprise to open Big Fish and see another New Yankee game!! Love this series, and this one does not disappoint!

It is really a great game and much more challenging than before! I won't go into massive detail, but it is tops to me. The only issue I have are the Treasure Map levels 2B & 3B. They do not open, unplayable. I've tried and tried. The other Treasure Map levels are perfectly fine but not 2B & 3B. Hmmm...so apart from that I love it! I love the series but I'm stuck on level 6. I picked up the hourglass and finished the rest of the tasks, How do you activate the hourglass? i don't see anything to activate it because it disappears after I pick it up. I'm very frustrated right now. Is this a glitch?

The Yankees are back! All the snark, mayhem, and general fun are still in the game. I purchased this without playing the demo first and have not been disappointed at all!

This company makes me feel as if they listen to the people who play their games. They've kept the things that make the game fun and added a few little things to keep it interesting.

I recommend this game!

Great game, great series! This is challenging, long game with lots of levels, extras and achievements. I noticed a lot of other reviews have what folks think are glitches reported, but they are actually game play. On level six, the goal is to activate the hourglass, so once you have picked it up, you have to click on it on the top of your screen to activate it. Great game, great series! This is challenging, long game with lots of levels, extras and achievements. I noticed a lot of other reviews have what folks think are glitches reported, but they are actually game play. On level six, the goal is to activate the hourglass, so once you have picked it up, you have to click on it on the top of your screen to activate it. And for all the folks having trouble opening bonus levels, it is because you need to collect all of the maps from the previous 4 levels. You can complete the levels without collecting them, so even if you have gold on the level, you may not have gotten the maps (they are in a lighter brown chest).

My one issue is that I cannot figure out the achievement to "save the penguins" I have all the other achievements, but I cannot figure out how to get this one. I have replayed all the levels with penguins, but still not achieving it. Anyone know?? Show less

I like that they've now started to animate the figures of the characters which adorn the dialogue boxes, that's a nice little extra. New to this installment is the side quest in which we collect pieces of treasure maps to unlock extra levels - completely optional, but a great addition in my opinion.

Honestly, I just think this is a wonderful game; it might be my favorite in the series to date. Show less
