I love this game. I love the graphics and the scenery, the gameplay is smooth, the characters look nice and individual, the voiceover is very good, i really enjoy playing it.

I recommend this game!

I'm really enjoying the Cursed Fables games series. The first one was a lot of fun, but I really liked this second game, "Twisted Tower." The plot was a bit more involved and kind of had a "Maleficient" vibe to it. Graphics and voice overs were great. I tend to play these games at my leisure, for about an hour or so at a time. So these games can last me about a week or so. So i'm not a good one to judge the length of the game, I felt it was a good length for me, but maybe I'm not seeing what others are about how "short" the game is. No glitches for me, everything was smooth. It was a bit simplistic in the fact that you're pretty much stuck in only one or two scenes at a time, so you realize quickly enough that you have everything you need and worst case, you can just try all the items in your inventory till you hit the right one. Other than that, it was fun and I tend to review games based on how I enjoyed the play. I had fun and the story was interesting and it kept me occupied a few hours a day during this cold weather we're having here. Give it a try, both games in the series are good but I liked this one better and looking forward to the next in the series. Show less

A lovely fractured fairy tale game! We play as the witch Geheldia, out to earn her place in the coven by facing a monster and recovering a lost prince. Along the way is treachery, magic, some pretty good secondary characters, and the unraveling of the events leading to the monster's disturbing propensity for eating men's souls. This particular Rapunzel, well, about the last thing you'd want to do is to try to climb her hair.

Pros: remarkably beautiful graphics in this one, one horse scene in particular being nearly photographic. Protagonist is really well done - our heroine manages to be effective without being a Mary Sue and possesses a wry sense of humor that fleshes out the character nicely. Excellent voice acting all around. The various witchy effects are pretty darn funny in themselves. Some great mini-games in this one pitched at just about the right level for a medium-to-advanced player. Very solid production values throughout - for once the top-notch art doesn't have to cover for other deficiencies.

Cons: it's a bit short, perhaps a reflection of how nice the environment is and how much the player is enjoying being there. You might as well go straight into the Bonus Game from the main one because it isn't long either and it does tie up a couple of hanging threads.

Bonus Game: we play as the long-suffering Leonard, envoy of the King and friend of the coven, who is tasked with preventing a war between two otherwise friendly kingdoms instigated by...well, that's the question, isn't it? Some nice interiors here, a couple of fairly obvious plot wrinkles; I just wish it were longer because the whole thing was so nicely put together.

Overall, a four star plus game I'm stretching to a five because it could have been just another run-of-the-mill fantasy game and it really did seem to rise above that. Good enough for a replay and that's saying something these days. Show less

I love the story of the Witch's Coven! If you're a fan of Witches then you will love this. I also love the gameplay. It's very interactive and fun. I only played the trial but ready to buy the Collector's Edition. I highly recommend trying it out!

I am the fool though who desperate to play something did buy (good job I had some credits otherwise would have thought twice). I happen to love twisted fairytales and I was looking forward to this second game in the Cursed Fables series. This time we have a soul-sucking monster who seems to prefer draining the life from the men of the village and sending them back home clueless, not a shred of memory from their past...oh well, they probably didn't have anything important on their mind anyway lol.

Here's my issue with this game and most of the new releases by Elephant Games, they aren't making CE's very worthy lately! They aren't even bothering to put Collectibles in the Bonus Chapter lately, and the collectibles are pretty lame. I don't mind a short game, in fact, I prefer a short game over a game with a gazillion repetitive tasks. I felt that the story was interesting enough, and the tasks weren't as boring as they tend to be in games by this developer. Unless you just have to have the game asap, I would suggest waiting for the SE version next month!

MORPHING OBJECTS/COLLECTIBLES: (CE version only)
There are no Morphing Objects, just 12 Tarot Cards, and 12 Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces that allow you to assemble a Jigsaw in the Secret Room after completing the game. Another member stated there were 24 Puzzle Pieces to collect but that isn't the case, there are two 12-piece jigsaw puzzles, but the first jigsaw puzzle has all the pieces right from the start and the puzzle can be assembled before you even start the game. (there are no video sequences available in the extras menu either)

HIDDEN OBJECT SCENES:
The Hidden Object Scenes are rather disappointing, once again, I was able to find most of the objects without looking at the list because they were so obvious. There are Listed Item Finds, Silhouetted Shape Finds, Find & Replace, Swatch Finds, and a handful of smaller Zoom Zone HO's. There are no alternate games available in lieu of the HOs.

MINI-GAMES/PUZZLES:
The mini-games were just okay, some were fun, some were boring, and they did put a little bit of a twist on some older games, such as a game of "Blocks" where you are moving sheep out of your path. They seem to be offering a lot of labyrinth-style puzzles lately, which gets kind of boring after a while.

BONUS CHAPTER: (Collector's Edition version only)
Leonard Harold's Royal Envoy has been tasked with negotiating peace with a neighboring kingdom, unfortunately, a cabinet member is trying to sabotage the relationship between the two kingdoms. There are 4 additional Mini-Games and 6 Hidden Object Scenes within 8 additional scene locations. After completing the Bonus Chapter the Expedition Room becomes available which allows you to search for any missing collectibles, and you can complete the jigsaws in the Secret Room.

COLLECTOR'S EDITION EXTRAS:
4 Wallpapers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 22 Achievements, 12 Tarot Cards Collections, 12 Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces, 2 Jigsaw Puzzles, 13 Mini-Games & 13 Hidden Object Scenes, an Expedition Room which allows you to return to the scenes to search for missed collectibles, a Secret Room to assemble Jigsaws, 5 Main Chapters +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Though not as many tasks to deal with some were still too illogical, like the stilts for instance. The demo presented more of the story, more characters than usual. The graphics weren't terrific, some scenes were a little on the dark side.

HOPs were extremely easy but I enjoyed the puzzles which has been happening a lot lately. Usually it's love the HOPs, not the puzzles. I thought the game moved at a good pace, the activities included some fiddling around with magic. The plot wasn't bad so I will purchase the SE verson. The CEs aren't worth a hill of beans anymore. Too little extra content, too short and these days the games are all so easy a Strategy Guide is not necessary. Still, Elephant Games is a very fine developer! Show less

I bought this game and it was very short. What drew me into buying it were the graphics. I just loved them. But there were so many things to put together (plus sign items). Too many of those. And not enough collectibles. This was not worthy of a CE. I was sorry I bought it.

I don't recommend this game.
