It was okay except when i was doing a puzzle and couldn't find a piece. Kind of slow in progress.

I've been an animal lover all my life, so naturally, I was drawn to this game when the CE version was released. After just a few quick levels, I realized it didn't have the "it" factor I was hoping for.

I'll be honest; it doesn't sit well with me that this developer keeps making games that are dead-ringers for successful HOG series' that other developers created.

First, they copied every Vacation Adventure feature to a T when they released Big Adventure: Trip To Europe. Now they are swooping in with a knockoff replica of the I Love Finding Cats/Dogs/Critters/Birds series. It's one thing to create a similar game theme, but when someone chooses to downright carbon-copy every aspect of another developer's game using identical formats & game mechanics, it doesn't seem right! It seems unfair and downright disingenuous. This developer continues taking a ride on the shirtsleeves of those who worked really hard to create a name for themselves, those developers who came up with an original theme and unique features all by themselves...
The graphics are decent, but the game mechanics are sluggish. It takes forever for the score window to pop up after completing a level. The silhouetted shape "extra" animals can be clicked on in any order (before their silhouette shows up), yet when you click on an animal out of sequence; it often causes a glitch that doesn't award the third star. Objects are often mislabeled or confusing, a "street lantern" is a porch light, a "dwarf" is just a garden gnome, a "bag" is a purse, a "totem" is a mask, and "oven mitts" is just a single oven mitt.
There are 12-16 Listed Items to find, with an occasional second-round mixup of Silhouetted Shapes, Descriptive finds, or Multiples of the same Object. Items in Blue are tasks that need to be completed, such as assembling a lamp. Each level has a different number of Silhouetted Shape pets to find, as shown in the box on the bottom left, and there are secondary zoom zones as well. The scene's graphics are clear, and the objects are easily identified. None of the objects are hidden; they are just lying around in places you'd expect them to be. (a kite in the sky, an antenna on the rooftop)
They should have offered difficulty modes because you can't earn all the stars if you don't make quick, consecutive matches. You earn a Red Star for completing a level, a Blue Star for finding all Silhouetted Shape pets, and the third and final yellow star can only be earned for making quick combo finds (x2-x3-x4-x5). Points are converted to Pet money, allowing you to purchase 20 Pet Shop animals. I can think of hundreds of different pets that could have been offered, yet they had two different fish, two different birds, two ferrets, two different guinea pigs, two different hamsters, two different cats, and two raccoons (that are illegal to sell as pets)...not much variety, is it? What's even worse is that after playing 6 HO scenes and three mini-games in the demo, I could purchase 10 pets...out of 20 total!

Is too similar to 'Finding Cats' games. Also, why in the world did this new company change things entirely for the worse? It used to be 1,2,3,...download, Now...it's even too hard to log on to BFG gamesite and answer yes to this and click that and check this. From there, it gets no better. I sure miss the old way. I'm not buying any more games from here. Give me one good reason why I should...
