Celene and her team have earned a reputation for bravery, so it comes as no surprise that they've been chosen to explore the neighboring continent of beastmen. This will be a dangerous task, as the continent is plagued by the same orc threat that infected the elven lands. Of course, nobody is expecting you to defeat the orc army single-handedly. The elves will help prepare the path for the main forces, explore, distract the enemy, and disrupt supply lines to lead you to victory!

There's something strange about these woods, however. The orcs might not be the only threat, and the beastmen are preoccupied with fighting them off to come and greet Celene. Or are they?

The game is fun, and I love trying to get 3 stars on every level. trouble is the game ends too soon for me even the collection version. I turn off the narrative as I am interested in the game not the chatter, having said that, it's my preference. Others may enjoy the story chatter.

I wasn't familiar with the first game in this series, but this looked interesting so I decided to give it a go in the recent BOGO sale. On the whole, it's a rather delightful fun-for-all-ages time management adventure. The characters are enjoyable, the story is pretty good, the music is pleasing, and the challenge is certainly there with several achievements to unlock. There's also a bonus challenge of collecting all of the wooden animals in each level in order to reveal pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.
My only complaint, which is the only thing keeping me from giving it a full five stars, is that the other side quest is a bit nerve-wracking. You have to watch for a painter's palette to appear in each scene and click on it before it disappears. It only shows up twice, and I frequently caught sight of it just before it vanished. This doesn't detract from the actual gameplay in any real way, but without all of those palettes it's really hard to earn the achievement for finishing all of the paintings, and I found it a little stressful. I play games like this on the most relaxed mode so that they *don't* stress me out - I'm blind in one eye, so sometimes it takes me a little longer than most to realize what something is. A couple extra seconds would have made all the difference.

So, this game is good and fairly basic as far as TM games goes. I typically play all TM games on a "hard" game mode and try to achieve top scores. On level 4, I could not get anything above 1 or 2 stars no matter how many times I replayed. You can play in a Normal, Hard, or Chill Out difficulty mode. Although some strategy is involved, it's not a super stressful game and the timer seems fair.

My favorite feature is finding the Animal Totems (bear, owl, deer, raccoon, fish) some of which are hidden pretty well. You will receive one Jigsaw Puzzle Piece for each Totem completed per level. To save time, I search for the totems and then hit the replay button because once you find the totem animals you won't be required to find them when you replay the level. There are also Morphing Art Palettes that allow you to paint three different pictures.
This Collector's Edition version has 6 Wallpapers, Music Soundtracks, 12 Bonus Levels, and Achievement Trophies. Each Level has 5 hidden Totem Animals and a Morphing Art Palette to paint 3 different pictures.

There are runes to find that are displayed in a right hand sliding display. They vary from 3 to 6. They are tied to a graphic. Once found no need to find again on a replay. For every star you earn it goes toward a puzzle graphic piece. You don’t need to get 3 stars on every level to get all the peaces of the puzzle.
It has a bare-bones guide for each level with locations for the Runes and a basic start help guide. You can turn hints on or off. Show less

There were supposed to be two building sites on level 4. There weren't. I deleted the game and downloaded it again and it still didn't have the second building side. Pass.

I am pretty good with time management games. This game is challenging for sure. Made it all the way to level 30 with 3 stars on each previous levels, and that is when the frustration started.

I am reluctantly starting to agree previous posters in this game and other games about the bugs that get through on games from BFG. Oh, BFG will give you a credit points but not that cover the original cost of a collector's edition.

There is no 2nd building to construct even the guide show it there. I hope this can be fixed or get a refund.
