I like that:
Don't have to click each box one at a time.
You can hold the mouse wheel down and drive over the open boxes without coloring all of them.
That the color spools at the bottom go away when finished
Mistakes show up at circles
The music, while repetitious, is soothing.
The puzzles have many colors in them, so they are all a bit more complex to color.

Yes the colors are a bit dull while working the puzzle, but the completed picture is bright.

It did take me a little while to figure out that I didn't need to click each box, and when I did, then I enjoyed this game much more. I can hold the wheel button down and just swipe all over the picture. Of course, if you leave the cursor in one place too long it will click what ever is there, so I get mistakes. But they only last until filled in with the correct color.

This is the third variation of this puzzle in the last several weeks. It is a needlepoint paint-by-number. This is the third variation of this puzzle in the last several weeks. It is a needlepoint paint-by-number. There are so many different box sizes you can work on by, scrolling your mouse wheel to increase or decrease them. Unfortunately the larger the boxes, the longer it takes to complete the picture. I like the fact that you can hold down the left mouse button and move through the picture to collect all the boxes of the same number. It doesn't effect the other numbered boxes unless you release the mouse button on a square that hasn't been colored and is of a different number. Then that squares gets marked as a incorrect selection. Also without lifting my left finger, I can select the right mouse button and move the picture around to continue selecting the same color.

My greatest dislike is that the background color of the squares are gray and you can't select other background colors. I have visual difficulty and gray is hard to see. The puzzles are different design, but like many real needle point items, the color is flat. Yarn is not usually bright. As a game though you can make the colors vibrant. If you are looking for something relaxing to do, to fill time, this is a good game. Show less

My Hobby: Needlework is a variation of the paint-by-numbers games. If your hobby is needlepoint, this game is for you. The player can choose from a variety of pictures and complete them with colored spools of thread that are numbered to correspond with the pictures.

On the plus side, there are a variety of pictures to choose from and tools to help complete the picture. It's a simple game as there are only a few settings and easy instructions.

On the negative side, the graphics are dull and the boxes are super small. Unless you are into needlepoint as a hobby, there is no fun factor in my opinion. I do counted cross stitch, but I didn't find this game particularly fun. The challenge level is high due to the tedious work it takes to complete a picture.

I would recommend if you are a needlepoint enthusiast. But for others, the negatives outweigh the positives for me, so I wouldn't recommend, but try the demo if you are curious and decide if it's worth the investment. This just wasn't for me. Show less

I didn't have any issues with the previous games in this series, but this one had several issues that, for me, made the game tedious. The biggest issue (besides some very unappealing color choices) was with the custom cursor, which lagged considerably! It was so slow that I was constantly having to go back and fill in cells whenever I was filling in groups of cells by holding down the mouse and swiping. At first, I thought I was just being careless, but it became apparent that it was because the cursor wasn't catching up.

Most of the pictures felt like I was searching for a needle in a haystack because the cells were mostly single cells scattered all over the board. There weren't many large groupings of colors so it felt tedious having to click a single cell here and there, and everywhere.

There is no cell counter to keep track of how many cells remain in a spool. It does have a percentage counter that keeps track of the progress of the entire picture, but not for individual cells which sure would have helped when I was searching all over the board for those random single-celled numbers!

If you are going to have pictures that are mostly single cells randomly placed all over, then at least give me an option to change the color of the circle indicating the current numbered cell so I can spot them more easily!

If the colors were better and brighter I would be more enthusiastic about this pixel style collection. After all the time spent filling in the cells the reward is not great plus the variety of images could be much better. Some improvements are needed for this to be a fun painting experience.

I love the spools of thread rather than a palette and love that the cells are so big and easy to see once you zoom in. It would be nice not to have so many cutesy images. Also when the images are finished that's all I want to see. I don't appreciate the obstacles on the canvas during and after painting.

The needlework stitches and spools are a unique idea and the minimal features work just fine. Completing an image isn't a quick feat as there are so many cells even in the simplest looking ones. That makes it a long lasting game. But appealing colors and more interesting subject matter are needed for me to purchase.

I can recommend if you're looking for something a bit different and can overlook the few cons I have mentioned. Fantasy Land colors are somewhat better than in the previous releases but the images are adolescent, more suited for a coloring book. Show less
