The story is interesting enough to keep my attention. The Hidden Object scenes are pleasantly challenging, you really have to look good to discover the objects, it's not that you can point them all out in practically no time. Can't tell you much about the mini games though, because in general I'm not that in to minigames, I'm skipping them most of the time. But overall this game looks like an excellent one, it also makes me curious for the other ones in this City Legends series. Well done Domini! Show less

This game certainly doesn't reinvent the wheel, but then again, neither does any other game at this point. HOPA games are now (and have been for a while) more about the ambience and enjoyable gameplay than anything else.

Witness in the Rye gives us fall in spring. Not everyone will be in the mood for that, but I'm always in the mood for fall, always in the mood to play as a writer character, and also always in the mood for a dark hotel setting. So this game appeals to me.
As always, the collectibles are in a little menu on the left-hand side of the screen, so it's easy to know whether you did or didn't get what you need from the scene or closeup. They're themed in line with the game's story.
I recommend this game if you're up for fall, dark hotel setting, and a typical HOPA. Relax about the stars, they're not going to hurt you. Show less

I love these elephant games and the way they put the little objects for you to find (the circles on the bottom left) the games are always good for a few hours of relaxing game play. I like this game

To get past the glitch where you can't grab the clay or the blotter, just trash the game and re-load it from your library. It will take you back to where you left off and you can carry on...

I see a few others have the same problem - I can't advance the game because I can't pick up the paperweight.
This is a shame, as I was enjoying the game up till now and was happy with the quality. Please fix this so I can finish!
I only gave a three star rating because of this problem, without it, the rating would have been higher.

I like this game, I also don' like the stars. I don't like even being required to choose a response. The game is fun, mini games are challenging and good. But the GLITCH! Can't pick up the clay. Let's go BFG! Don't buy it until you see it's fixed.
