OK - I love, love, loved the first one - the story line was sweet and light, yet interesting... and the game play was perfect - I really like how the solitaire game is set up and the types of "power-ups". I have re-played it several times - which is why I was so happy they came out with a second one! Yay! I must have played the first Regency game s hundred times. Good story, graphice and just enough challenge. This one is so welxome and even better with new power-ups. I replay each hand until I get all three stars. This is sometimes frustrating, but so satisfying..

This new release, Number 2, brings all the beautiful graphics, characters and continuing story back with a few changes that make the goals in the game a little easier to reach, with additional Jokers that are so helpful as the game progresses. The biggesr change is that it is a CE this time and I feel it is not needed. I can't justify paying the extra cost, even though it is an attractive, fun ...Show more

Waiting is the name of the game nowadays, for either the CE to go on sale or picking up the SE much later. So frustrating when a new game arrives that I am eager to play! Show less

I just finished the game and will be going into the extra levels next. I loved the first one and was rather surprised to see this is the second one. I thought we would be at five or six by now and reached our century. I love the story and characters - Bella looks much better this time. She doesn't have that weird nose. It is rare that I look at the new titles on offer and get a big fat smile on my face - but this is what happened when I saw Regency Solitaire 2. The first one is one of my favourite games (which says something, as I usually don't play solitaire games), and this sequel promises to be just as lovely.
It is indeed a sequel - the heroine of the first game, Bella, is now married to the love of her life and has to adjust to running her own household, win her mother in law over and protect her family from scandal. (You don't need to have played the first game - titled "Regency Solitaire" - to understand what is going on, but if you like this one, get the first one, too (and vice versa).)
The game consists of several chapters, each one taking place at a different location. You have to play several rounds of solitaire to win each chapter, fulfilling certain chapter goals (make a number of combos, get a certain number of stars, ...). The storyline is advanced between the chapters.
You earn coins for the games you play which you can use to buy decorations for the garden party Bella wants to throw; buying these decorations gives you different boosters for the solitaire games (e.g., the number of undos is increased, or you get a booster to remove cards and which refills while playing).
This game is just what I needed right now - a relaxing, delightful experience. No, you won't have to save the world, defeat dark forces or be challenged to use every ounce of perseverance and intelligence you process - but you will get a breath of fresh air, wonderful artwork and the gaming equivalent of taking your tea in a beautiful garden on a sunny day.
A charming, delightful, beautiful game. Wish we had more of these. Show less

What a lovely, relaxing, and sweet solitaire game! The music is soothing and spritely, the artwork is beautiful and lush, and the sound effects are perfect. This is a lovely solitaire game for those of us who also enjoy a relaxing and pretty card game.

Thank you developers; you added helpful powerups, made jokers more readily available than the first release (which was a great relief) because they are necessary to meet goals of new levels. Storyline cute.
