Not a huge fan of HOAs but this simple type of HO is a nice way to relax and pass the time. This is a familiar format - no story - find the items, find the gold coins. You have choices of ways to play the game. All the items were findable, not too dark or too small which is a plus compared to some of these games. If HOs are your thing, I bet you'll like this.

If you can't solve one of the stupid circle switch mini games. You are not able to move on in the game. No hints at all. A terrible game. Wish BIG Fish would refund the cost of the game when its a crappy game.

Searchscape is a decent HOG with brightly colored AI graphics and the usual flare...but gee whiz, guys, does everyone have to jump on the HOG Bandwagon? Are there no other developers willing to create games in any other genre for Big Fish other than the same 5-6 developers they currently have? I used to look forward to the daily game because there was always something new and exciting to play. Now I log on and wonder which HOG developer will offer which travel-related HOG today.

Searchscape seems to be a short game with just five chapters. Each chapter has a single Hidden Object Scene, a Spot The Difference scene, a Matching Pairs game, a Match 3 game, and a Jigsaw with shaped pieces.

To unlock the next chapter, you have to replay the Hidden Object Scene three times in three modes (Text-Silhouetted Shapes-Pictured Items). There are three Gold Coins to find, and each scene has a single Zoom Zone. I did have difficulty clicking on some items, which took 3-4 clicks before the click was recognized and the object removed. You can purchase items to fancy up your house with the coins found/earned.

On a side note, I did find a listed object to seem irresponsible because it depicted a prescription bottle lying on its side, with no lid and half of the pills spewing out. Yes, it's just a game, but for some reason, it doesn't sit well with me, especially when kids will potentially play this game. I just think we need to portray prescriptions more responsibly...or just ditch that unnecessary object altogether.

The Spot the Difference scenes must be played twice, in an Easy Mode and a Hard Mode. Honestly, I couldn't "spot the differences" between the two difficulty modes; both modes are very easy.

The Matching Pairs scene must be played twice in Easy Mode and Hard Mode (The objects rotate in a circle on the Hard Mode). BTW: this is a super simplistic scene, even in the Hard Mode, with objects pasted on a plain white background.

The Match 3 game must be played twice, in Easy Mode and Hard Mode. The Hard Mode requires making multiple matches to remove the selected objects. The Match 3 game is very basic, and you have to wait for the tiles to stop dropping before making your next match.

The Jigsaw must be played twice in an Easy Mode and Hard Mode. The jigsaw puzzle pieces are shaped similar to the Springfield Map puzzles by Casual Arts. Both modes are super easy because there are very few details in the puzzle images.

If you miss the BF forums, fear not, my friends! Just don a pair of hiking boots and head over to the campfire to chat about games or whatever's on your mind...in between bites of Smores, of course! This game does not allow for more than one player, making the game over when you complete it, not to play it again. Not worth the money. Don't buy!

This game is for children. It is so basic.
I have so many of these games now. Please come up with something else. Use your imagination. I am 63 years old and have been with big fish forever.
I have never seen so many of these types of games. Just one after the other. All have the same format.
Please create something 'different' for your adult players.

WOW. There will be some groaning among the fishies on this. I think PlaySkool designed this game. It looks to be for elementary kids; it is VERY basic; no profile, exact same format as the other games like these: do a screen, then a cheesy, over the hill mini game, (this offered M3, Spot Diff, Jigsaw...yawn) It had zoom in screens that sparkled just like everyone else's...Only thing different is ...Show more

I will defend HOG's if they're good because I also enjoy playing those when I can't concentrate on a HOPA, but there have been too many flooding this particular market and the quality is laughable. Maybe some will like this game or have younger children who would, and I absolutely do not mean any disrespect, but PLEASE demo before you even waste your points or 7 bucks. I couldn't make myself go on after 1 screen. Show less
