Shannon Ferguson was just 16 years old when she left the comforts of her home to tame the wild, wild west. Her father was killed by a group of bandits robbing the bank, her mother passed shortly thereafter. Her immigrant parents never fulfilled their dreams of living out west, so Shannon hit the trail and left her Louisiana childhood home behind. She befriended a young Native, Red Wolf, who suffered a similar fate at the hands of these ruthless bandits. When they came across an abandoned town, they knew this was the place they could hang their hats and call home.

As you play this Higher/Lower Solitaire game, a new citizen will arrive in town, each time you earn a star. One of the goals for each level, is to leave no more than 4 cards remaining. If you remove all cards you will earn 3 Stars. If you reach the minimum number of cards needed to obtain the goal, you will earn 1 Star. If the number of cards remaining is between the two values, you will receive 2 Stars. Some citizens have a quest to fulfill, and those quests are given as one of the goal levels. You can replay any level as often as you want to earn a better score, and you can play an optional Match 3 game with Limited Moves, to earn more gold.

With the Gold you earn, you can rebuild the town with Banks, Train Stations, General Stores, Souvenir Carts, and even a good ole Saloon. You can buy upgrades in the Shop, such as extra Undo's, Number specific Wildcards, a Cards Remaining icon, a Bow to destroy a card of your choice, or even Dynamite that randomly destroys 3 face up cards. Occasionally you will receive Jokers on the board which can be used as the card of your choice, but you can't purchase Jokers. There are also several Achievements to earn.

Shield cards require you to uncover Tomahawk Cards to unlock them, Royal Locks require removing Royal Cards (KQJ) of a specified number. Some cards have numbers on them requiring you to make matches of that card multiple times. Between levels, there are Fun Facts given, mostly about the origin of Playing Cards, but some of the facts are lengthy and there just isn't enough time to read them before the next level loads.

I love a good Solitaire game, and I found this game to be a bit on the easy side, but interesting enough to hold my attention. It also has all the features I want when playing Solitaire, Higher/Lower type, and replayable levels are a must in order for me to purchase the game. Happy Trails, enjoy! Show less

You can play an easy match-3 game for extra gold to buy power-ups and buildings. The story is about as good as you can expect with solitaire.

I loved this solitaire game...it's so cute. It is your standard one up and down card game, and is quite easy (seems to have the usual every-third-card-is-playable pattern), but the story is really cute and fun.

I loved this solitaire game...it's so cute. It is your standard one up and down card game, and is quite easy (seems to have the usual every-third-card-is-playable pattern), but the story is really cute and fun.

You are building a town and with new developments come additional problems.
The dialogue is worth reading because it is fairly amusing. Sometimes someone new comes to town and you need to help them retrieve a lost item, which you do during the solitaire part. I particularly liked the girl with her "little girl purse".
For a solitaire game, this one is a lot of fun! Show less

I enjoyed this game. The graphics were good. The storyline was interesting. You built a town while fighting the bad guys and accumulating points to build the next building. A few minor irritations. The bits about history were on and gone in a blink. Not a chance to read them. And at the end of the game there was still one building that had not been rebuilt. I love rebuilding and solitaire, so this game was a good choice for me. It doesn't offer much challenge, but isn't short on fun. It has been a long time without a satisfactory solitaire game. I love having a female save the day in a Western adventure and I think Shannon and her friend, Red Wolf, will soon have everything ship-shape in a bustling new settlement.

I love rebuilding and solitaire, so this game was a good choice for me. It doesn't offer much challenge, but isn't short on fun. It has been a long time without a satisfactory solitaire game. I love having a female save the day in a Western adventure and I think Shannon and her friend, Red Wolf, will soon have everything ship-shape in a bustling new settlement.

I haven't played a Match 3 yet, but if it earns extra gold, I'm all for it. There is a good assortment of upgrades to buy, some a little pricey, but I'm in no hurry....this shop is open all the time! I also love earning achievements to satisfy my personal challenges.

The sound effects are somewhat annoying to me and the dialogue seems to leave the screen too quickly. There's lots to read before the next level pops up. Other than these minor negatives, I find Solitaire Chronicles very pleasing and I'm a big fan of Pioneer/Old West history. The game does provide some interesting facts, I just have to read a little faster! Show less

I have been waiting for a good solitaire game to come along. This one is one up or down just the way that I like it. The western theme and storyline are cute. Gameplay is the usual and they threw in simple M3s which are fun. The only thing that I found annoying is the dialogue but everything else makes it worth purchasing (which I did :-) )

Hi -- I loved this Solitaire Chronicles -- Wild Guns. It was great to see a girl take charge & get even with bandits. I loved the story -- finished Level 71 to complete the town. I like the Match 3 game to earn extra gold to get town finished. I found this game very enjoyable so I'll take a break to try out the other solitaire games.

I recommend this game!

This is a cute game overall and has a little bit of everything.

This is a GOLF solitaire game with match 3 every 5 rounds of solitaire. The M3 is very short (score 50-80) within 5 moves or less.

Gold coins earned allow you to build your western town (saloon, cemetery, farm, railroad etc) or power ups.

There are 10 rounds for each chapter, 10 chapters, for 100 rounds total.

This is a cute game overall and has a little bit of everything.

The 1st 50 rounds are pretty easy to get 3 stars, but gets harder later, when power ups are necessary or become impossible to get 3 stars without help.

The artwork is not spectacular, but cute.
There is a story, which is cute--it's all written dialogue, no voiceovers.

There are interesting trivia about card games flashed in between each round, but it is flashed so fast, you can't read the entire sentence. However, the number of stars and gold coins earned each round takes forever to materialize. Definitely a glitch that was not properly screened before release.

You can earn achievements, but nothing extra for this.

This game could have been better, but if you want a little bit of fun and are not too hardcore, this game may fit the bill. Show less

played till building the farm almost to the end of the game would not go to the next level no matter what i tried. very disappointed lately with quality of big fish everything.
