I love solitaire games and this one is different than any other, you still play the cards the same way but so much more depends on the order you play them. you get to think a bit more than normal sol games. graphics are good and the music could be better, overall a great new twist on a same old same old. be sure to at least give it try.

I recommend this game!

It is your standard high low card game,but you aren't just clicking cards. You try to free the Royals by breaking the blocks underneath them. During the play you can drop the monsters to the ground and spin the wheel in a side game to win loot. There are chest spins for bonuses. The graphics are great, and the music is pleasing. Bring down the royal family from pedestal blocks, beat enemies and press your luck with a little slot action. Yes, believe it or not this is High, Low Solitaire!! I'm glad devs occasionally think out of the box. This is a five star change that adds a new flavor to the genre.

I found it pretty challenging since the power ups are not too easy to come by. They are very expensive compared to the coins you earn in game, so can't be too quick to use them Willy- Nilly. To progress in the levels you will need specified quantity of stars; therefore be ready to battle many enemies and replay levels to earn the coins they drop. Try not to be caught without your sword and shield in a fight, they really help to win. Luckily you can delay fight until ready. I only wish I had more power over the outcome instead of spin of a wheel.

Often when you have so many games they start to become monotonous because developers have no imagination to change up the game play and only change the skin of the game. So I just love it when something new comes along.

This is a definite buy for me. Show less

At first I wasn't sure what was going on in this game and gave up but sat down about an hour later and gave it another shot. Once I got it going I was hooked! I love the battles with the bad critters, love the power ups and all the special items - the key to unlock and rescue the prisoners, the treasure chest, sword and shield. This is the strangest Solitaire game I've ever played, strange, but addicting to play. If there was a way to skip the battle process this game would be awesome!

The goal of each level is to free the Royals by playing one card Higher or Lower. Each stone pillar has a card at the bottom, as you play that card, the stone pillar crumbles one section at a time. When the entire pillar has crumbled, you can select the icon located under each item that has reached the bottom. Royals simply need freed, Power-ups need to be selected, Keys need to be used to unlock locks, Wizards use their magic to turn fire blocks to stone blocks, Treasure Chests require a "spin" to spin 3 tumblers, (you can win up to 3 items, or win nothing at all) When the enemy reaches the game, you will select to "fight" You don't have to fight immediately, in fact, it's best to hold off until after you collect the Sword and Shield, which will help you win the battle.

The battles are a worthless, time consuming feature that I really hated. Once you select the fight icon, you are taken to another screen, where you are on the left, the enemy on the right. This is a turn based battle, after you click the attack button, a wheel will spin to select the attack force you will make, and then your enemy spins his attack wheel. (number based points such as -2 health, sometimes you miss the opponent entirely) If you have already collected the battle power-ups, The Sword adds +1 to the attack, the shield defends your health by +1 automatically. If you lose the battle, you lose a Star, if you win the battle you earn a star.

You can earn up to 3 stars per level, and you can replay the levels as often as you'd like. You must remove all cards to complete the level, and you must fight the enemies to progress to the next level. You earn 1 star for removing all of the cards, a second star for saving all Royals, and a third star for winning the battle.

The Treasure Chests have several different items to win, that help you beat the harder levels. Bombs remove any open bottom blocks. The Sun removes any enemy, and the Scroll adds 2 extra blocks to the deck. You can also win multiple Jokers which can be used as any card value.

There are two things that I disliked in this unusual Solitaire game, the battles that are time consuming and quite frankly boring, and that there is no Undo feature that I could find, I accidentally used a Joker because it was so close to the icon located directly above the jokers when the pillar above it reaches the bottom, and had no way to undo my move. I will use a PCC however, because I did enjoy the change of pace it offers, enjoy! Show less

I thought this game was a bit clunky but the level of challenge was not to bad. A different type of solitaire game with a few battles thrown in . The music was a bit annoying after a few games/levels. Not a game I would recommend.

I bought this game because it's mildly entertaining and a twist on traditional solitare. Yes, the fighting is boring but I can tolerate it.

I also bought it because I am completely bored with the lame cookie cutter tripe that passes for HO games these days. Monsters, smoke, spells, evil, royals in distress, assorted magic charms, mean family........ YAWN YAWN YAWN!!!!!

I recommend this game!
