Loved this game and the artwork, which has lots of flowers everywhere and feminine, romantic interiors.
This a decent length game, excellent story. The HOPs are varied with lots of interaction to obtain objects. Quite a few puzzles, too. Puzzles are easy at beginning and get harder towards the end.
Sleuthing aspect is excellent. Expert mode allows hint, skip, and helpful messages.

I liked the game. Great storyline to keep you going. Good puzzles and some HO. Many of the puzzles were easy to med. I wont spoil the storyline twists as some raters do, that kills the game from the start. Play through it to find the answers.
I recommend this game!

When I first played this game in the Collector's Edition version, I wasn't all that impressed. I ended up buying the CE during a $6.99 sale (don't u hate a 50% off sale which ends up being 50% off Retail price, shouldn't the discount favor members?) When I first played this game in the Collector's Edition version, I wasn't all that impressed. I ended up buying the CE during a $6.99 sale (don't u hate a 50% off sale which ends up being 50% off Retail price, shouldn't the discount favor members?) I only bought the game because of the massive amount of 5 star reviews. In fact there are currently 11 out of 17 five star reviews. I tried several times yesterday to play the game, and I'm going to be honest, I only finished one chapter after the demo, I was bored to death with this game! It's not a horrible game, it's just an average game that has nothing exciting enough to hold my interest. I wanted to like it, I wanted to see what everyone else had seen, but I didn't. Perhaps I will revisit the game in a few days, to see if it improves. Here's a recap of my review to help you decide which version, if any, is right for you:
Darren and Tess should have invited Ursula to their wedding, after all, she was the fiance of his best friend Oliver. There will be no wedding for Ursula however, because tragically, Oliver was killed in a hunting accident, and Ursula blames Darren. Ursula has always suffered from a bipolar disorder, and her grief has pushed her over the edge, cursing Tess to a slow death, and rendering Darren helpless, as her captor. Will Darren be forced to watch his beloved, die a slow death, or can Tess find the strength to defeat Ursula's curse? This is Immortal Love, where love knows no boundaries, where love can conquer all evil, love is forever, love is immortal, but with Ursula, love is dangerous!
The third time is not a charm, I found this third installment of the series to be far too easy, far too familiar, far too gimmicky, and has far too many "notes" scattered about, who does that in the first place? Who writes down every emotion, every plan, and then drops the notes all about town? Ursula's fiance Oliver, gave her an Amulet (surprise!) to help balance her emotions, but her grief overflowed, and she used the amulet to summon sorcery. Her dark magic minions, look somewhat like a teddy bear mixed with a kitty, it's hard to take them seriously. To recharge the amulet (which is now in your possession) you will need to collect Ursula's good memories, by scanning the amulet over some of those "notes" I mentioned earlier. Then you are tasked with finding a specific number of good memories in an HOP style game, which is incredibly simplistic. In the Collector's Edition version, each scene has a Collectible Candle, but they stick out like a beacon in my opinion, and I just don't see the value in this game as a CE.
The Hidden Object Scenes are far too easy, they aren't creative, and they aren't that much fun. There are the usual Interactive list finds, Multiple finds, Silhouetted Shape finds and Keywords in sentences. Each time you recharge the amulet you will play a HOP to find pictured icons of Ursula's good memories, and so far, I haven't seen an alternate to the HOP games.
The Mini Games are really easy, and don't present much of a challenge at all. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Jump over hearts of the opposite color to remove all of them.
2) Select the sliders when they are in the yellow zone.
3) Guide tokens to the bottom slots, use color coded rings to raise and lower dots so they can pass over them.
4) Rotate puzzle parts to complete the image.
5) Guide the ship to the exit using directional arrows. The ship will continue on it's course until it hits an obstruction or obstacle.
6) Play a game of Tic-Tac-Toe with the teddy bear cat.
7) Connect like-colored tiles by dragging a path and filling all cells.

You are marrying your beloved when Ursula, the fiancé of his deceased best friend, crashes the wedding, curses you to a slow death, and kidnaps your husband to slowly torture him to death in revenge. Her father, Daddy Sutton, helps you escape the wedding venue ruins and takes you to his family home in hopes of stopping his wayward daughter.
The usual logic lapses are more egregious here than they were in the last installment in this series. I was left with lots of questions:
#1: There were other people on that fatal hunting trip and the Baron Wood's death was deemed an accident, so why place the blame only on his best friend?
#2: Once again there is an amulet to "help" us. Why is there no consistency in the way Ursula's minions react to the amulet? One blows up a balcony, another is shot three times before vanishing with the amulet, and the third one is halted by a gate.
#3: Why didn't Daddy Sutton get his daughter Ursula some help? Apparently she's been unbalanced for quite some time as Baron Wood had tried before his death to help her to reach some level of equilibrium in her emotions.
#4: Why do so many of the mini-games have multiple levels and you are forced to play all of them? And the game elements here are very similar to the earlier games.
#5: Have you ever been overjoyed when a demo was finished very quickly?
I urge you to try this game for yourself before purchasing it. You may not be into unreasonable extreme revenge and copycat game play.

This review is based on a 1 hour demo:
- music is OK, Graphics are nice enough
- The story is boring. It might have been OK if it was fleshed out a bit more, but the way it is - it's forgettable, even as I played I wasn't intrigued to continue.

- HO were interactive. I found them boring, but I'm not a HO lover. There was no alternative game to HO.
- No diary. I personally do not like any game without a diary/ journal. I think the developers are lazy for not adding that in. I like to read everything, and get all the details in order to immerse myself in the story. I love games where diaries add background info, or at the very least keep track of the story, and any notes or clues you find in the game.
-minimum story info. The game is all about "pick up this, put it there, so you can get the next thing you need... repeat and repeat. Very little of the game play has to do with the actual story. Any note you pick up disappears as soon as you click on it and if you didn't read it - too bad, there is no journal or anything to save it in.
- The mini games are for 3 year olds. my 8 year old was looking over my shoulder as I was playing and rolled her eyes at how easy the mini games were. Then laughed out loud when there was one where you had to match colors.
Another mini game was to match leaves - there were only 4 matches, all glaringly different. Why would a developer make a story meant for adults with games meant for toddlers? Other games which could have been interesting (jumping over pegs to remove them) were dumbed down to a second grade level.
you can try the demo for yourself, you might like it. I did not enjoy it. Show less
