I am really enjoying this new game it has all the great fun gameplay needed in a Match 3 etc game. Altho the graphics are a little cartoonish I don't mind. There is a cute back story which does not have any witches or black robed people with red eyes ( a bugaboo for me)
And with this weekends great sale it was a quick buy for me after 5 minutes of the Demo.
Try it you might enjoy as much.

I am crazy about most Egyptian themed games so I tried this one. The story line is to rebuild a kingdom because it was destroyed. As an M3 it can be challenging but has 3 game play modes. The graphics are clear and large enough for my old eyes to see LOL. There are mini games and as you go along the darling princess helps to rebuild gardens. The Cradle series is my all-time favorite Match 3 series and this game is really quite challenging as it progresses. You can play in Easy, Medium or Hard modes, and the goal of each level is to clear all of the colored cells by making at least one match over them, and sometimes 2-3 matches are required. You can earn up to 3 Stars per level, but you'll need to keep an eye on the star meter (which ...Show more

The Cradle series is my all-time favorite Match 3 series and this game is really quite challenging as it progresses. You can play in Easy, Medium or Hard modes, and the goal of each level is to clear all of the colored cells by making at least one match over them, and sometimes 2-3 matches are required. You can earn up to 3 Stars per level, but you'll need to keep an eye on the star meter (which goes by the amount of time it takes you to meet the level goals unless playing on untimed mode) because you cannot replay any of the levels once completed, however, you can select the pause button to replay the level if you see that you have lost a star and want to try again to earn all 3.

There are lots of obstacles such as vined and double vined icons, and walls of sand to have to break through. The first several levels seem super easy, but as you progress, the board layouts become more narrow, similar to the cradle series boards and getting available matches becomes more scarce.

Larger matches will give you bonus power-ups on the board such as a mudball, water sphere or typhoon that will destroy tiles adjacent to them. As you progress, Spells and Power-ups are added to use whenever you want to use them, but they will need to be recharged before they can be used again.

After each Match 3 level, you will choose a Lotus that reveals points or bonuses, and you can buy items as well, but each item requires certain criteria to be met such as points, supplies, star rating's and even certain achievements to be met. There are also mini-games available such as a Hidden Object Scene, restoring torn fragments, or making matches of 2 identical patterned scarabs. All in all..nothing new here but I am enjoying that the tiles fall smoothly, colours of tiles are nice and able to separate easily and there are three levels of difficulty including relaxed. I find medium gives me plenty of time..but I have not played the whole game.

Its not the most ingenious match three (its fairly standard) but I am having fun playing it, my eyes are enjoying it, and there is a variety of things you get to do. Show less

This is pretty much typical M3 with of course blockages like vines, etc but you seem to accumulate power-ups fast which help. Fun game. Lots of Match 3 with some HOG and puzzle mini-games thrown in.
The graphics look better cranked up higher than the default settings. No issues with sound but I always turn the music off.
The gameplay does feel a bit clunky and slow but it's a good enough game where I'm over it bothering me. You'll have plenty of time in the demo to decide if you can live with it.

Would have been great if they made an attempt to make them 3 dimensional. The Garden should be made to fit onto One screen in my opinion, then you would have something nice to look at instead of having to scroll around to see everything.

I do not play games to add to my stress level, and this aspect of the game did just that. Untimed mode should mean that there are no penalties for time. Uninstalled immediately, but if you don't mind time penalties, you may like this game. Not for me, sadly. Show less
