I loved this game the graphics are clear and manageable to find items, the story line is interesting, the unusual twist of finding items and then connecting them to get the last item was fun.

This game is kind of retro and vintage. It is not the typical hidden objects story but it got all my admiration. I enjoy it!

When I first started playing, my first impression was "this is lame". Seemed way too easy. All the items were large and obvious. As I continued playing, it actually got harder and the items got more and more difficult to find. I hate using hints, but I have to admit I was really glad that the hint button did refill eventually. There are apparently 5 different stories to this game. I'm on the first one and it goes on FOREVER! I'm never one to complain about a long game and getting your money's worth, so I shall not complain here... BUT it is apparently a LONG game. My only real complaint is the music. It got on my nerves and I ended up turning it way down. The storyline started out lame, but as it went on I was more interested in it. So, although I wouldn't recommend this game for an advanced player, it's a really good one for beginners and intermediate players. It's pure HOP with no puzzles and no bells and whistles. So if that's your cup of tea, then by all means give this demo a try. Keep an open mind. Show less

My review is based on playing the trial and having purchased and played the previous games. This is the 3rd, I believe, game in this series and there have been lots of improvements. My review is based on playing the trial and having purchased and played the previous games. This is the 3rd, I believe, game in this series and there have been lots of improvements. The beginning instructions are short and simple, and right on target, which is good, because I didn't see any option to skip it, The storyline is more logical and can actually be understood, to a point. This area can still be improved, as there are jumps that can't be explained. The other improvement is in the presentation of the storyline; you are given plenty of time to listen/read them and can actually control when to move on. This is a big help and contributes to being able to understand what is happening. Another change, which I like, is that the different tools, like hints, the bomb to remove items from the HO lists, the flashlight for blacked out scenes, etc., all have the available number of these shown at the beginning of each investigation, instead of having to wait for them to refill. The total number of power ups are available for each investigation. I'm not sure what happens if you run out of them before you end the investigation, so you would need to watch how you use them. A big issue, still, is the in-you-face reminders to use a hint. They don't seem as frequent as in the other games, but they are totally unnecessary and use up time you need to get the three stars. It is very annoying and gives the impression that players are so stupid, they need to be reminded about hints. This should be completely removed. This is a great HOG, with lots of scenes. Some items are easy to find, while others are harder; a good mix. If you really want 3 stars for each scene, and don't get them, you can play the scene over immediately. This is a hard-core HOG lover's game. Show less

I have all the hidden object games in this series. I like this one the best of all.
The graphics are also the best in this game, and you do receive higher scores than the others.
It was also the most challenging for me.

I love a good old-fashioned Hidden Object Game now and then, after all, that's where we first fell in love with this new genre before they began morphing into the HOPA games of the present day. They bring back fond nostalgic memories of how exciting it was to finish one game and move on to the next, never seeming to care whether or not it had a good storyline or amazing new features. Developers were jumping on the bandwagon right and left, desperately trying to supply the demand of HO's to hungry fans, I bet a lot of you have a stack full of old HO CD's with Felix on the cover, stuffed in a cabinet somewhere, I know I do lol.

I try really hard to find the good in every game, even the ones I don't like because somebody, somewhere worked very hard on their project. In my opinion, this game has made improvements since the last one was released. The graphics are much sharper and clearer, and the objects are well blended into the scenery even though they aren't proportionate at times and they aren't always the same color or even in the same position shown.

The options are still pretty basic, and once again, there are no Difficulty Mode options available, it's a Timed Game you play for points and try to obtain all 3 Stars. You can't even adjust the music and sound volumes, it's just an on/off button. There are 10 different Chapters or Investigations, and each Investigation has several levels, in fact, I counted 80 scenes in the first Chapter so it should be a fairly lengthy HOG, but on the other hand, I had breezed through 30-40 scenes in the demo alone. There are 18 Achievement Trophies to earn during the investigation. The story or "case" is updated before the start of each level, as a dialog box with no voice-overs, usually a paragraph at a time.

There are Hint Boosters available, you start out with 5 of each booster, and I'm assuming you will get the option to buy more if you run out. You can replay any level, to earn a better star rating score, but the objects to search for are usually different than the first go-round. There is a Booster that will highlight one item from the list, another removes 3 items from the list, one that stops the timer on the level and one that increases the area of illumination in the scenes that are in the dark, which just has a small beam of light available.

Each of the items to find are shown as Pictured Items and one item from each scene will go into the inventory section. That Inventory item must be dragged to the scene where it will logically be used. As I mentioned earlier, many of the hidden objects are way out of proportion or are a totally different color than what is shown, as some of the objects are rather small and not easily recognized.

For me personally, it was fun to play the demo, but towards the end of the demo, I just started to get bored. I think the game is worthy of a sale or coupon code if you are an avid HOG fan.

wow - very "mickey mouse" game play. Like it was dug up out of the archives. Very "old style" hidden object game. No voice overs, no options. The background music repetitive, but very unobtrusive.

I did end up getting this game - used up a PCC for it only because I had so many that I had to toss because they had expired (because nothing was available) - so figured this was an okay game to while ...Show more

While I enjoy most hidden object games, this one was a disappointment. The story line was terrible and it was more of just a seek and find game. What has happened to the quality of hidden object games you used to offer?
