I cannot understand the bad reviews. I was not going to download it when I saw the bad reviews but then I decided to play it and see why it got the bad reviews. I don't know why but I liked the story and I liked that things were different. The graphics were good and the story was to. I did not get far with the game because I wanted to review it. I cannot understand the bad reviews. I was not going to download it when I saw the bad reviews but then I decided to play it and see why it got the bad reviews. I don't know why but I liked the story and I liked that things were different. The graphics were good and the story was to. I did not get far with the game because I wanted to review it. This game was amazing. As you go through, the story unfolds, sweeping you along. A couple of the HOS scenes feel mildly intrusive to the progression of the story, but over all the HOS and Puzzles don't get in the way of what is a truly epic story of adventure, loss, and betrayal.

This game was amazing. As you go through, the story unfolds, sweeping you along. A couple of the HOS scenes feel mildly intrusive to the progression of the story, but over all the HOS and Puzzles don't get in the way of what is a truly epic story of adventure, loss, and betrayal.

The last bit of the demo raises the question of just how many humans have gone through that portal between the worlds -and what exactly happened to them.

When I get the money, I'm buying the game. I have to see how it ends! Show less

So I started playing the demo and from what I can tell, this is a totally delightful game. It is fun to play as the giant who fixes the world of the small people. Who cares if the story doesn't make sense. It is a imaginary world and fictional story as well. I found it challenging and fun. The graphics are bright and sharp and it is easy to navigate. I also found this game enjoyable - the demo I played - and the two carryalong gadgets made sense. When they are superfluous and aren't necessary to the story, or extreme, I don't like them used - but it *made sense* that you would need reading glasses with magnification to read the tiny print of the Lilliputians (since you are, after all, a giant) - and the barrel organ was something you find, "unlock" - and retrieve cylinders for (like a music box or player piano) throughout game, only to play the cut scenes - not intrusive at all. I enjoyed both.

Morphing was fun to have in every scene, but like another player said, a bit obvious - though not always. The collectible keys were sometimes out there, but sometimes difficult to spot - and I had to leave one scene with key undiscovered so that I could play all of demo and not lose out on time! lol - I also liked how we could change some items around - not part of gameplay - like a sand drawing from a "G" to a smilie face to a heart or a rope into a knotted one, then a noose, or a skull drawn on wet window into a snowflake- interaction with some items not part of gameplay - little extras to bring a smile.

A few of the puzzles started very easy, then grew more challenging (within same puzzle) - I liked that. Sort of like a process, to familiarize you with the puzzle and then get progressively harder to challenge you.

I found the artwork creative and interesting - a buckled hat for a roof of a florist, a man's belt for a bridge, and other giant's items from our world trickled here and there throughout. It didn't bother me that the matchsticks burned like torches and were not quick to go out - this is all fantasy after all, and it's believable that they devised some method to make them long-burning - Gulliver was a scientist that helped them with many things before he became a traitor, so that too made a fairytale like sense.

And finally - it is so NICE to have a story and a game that is imaginative and fun - and NOT be bombarded with ten kinds of macabre evil, dark magic, and the like at every turn. I get so tired of all that (and don't buy those games anymore). The scenes are colorful and interesting - I enjoyed scanning each one to see all the innovative ways they produced the Lilliputian land using giant's tools, but of course, they have everyday things their size too. I also did not find it odd to see a large rat there - rats can grow very big, and whose to say one of the giants didn't bring it along with them somehow, or it slipped through the portal unaware to the giant, just as the butterfly did (It appears there was more than one giant that came through, according to story)...

Try the demo and see for yourself. For this "giant" I am intrigued to know and play more of the tale... Show less

I had to slow myself down, on clicking on things if I wanted to see things morph. It has 33 morphs and when you collect enough you unlock six items of a Thumbelina collection.

Has five chapters + bonus and if you did the trial it stops towards the end of chapter 2.

I found that you can interact with some things in most scenes and they were fun. A sample is like a rainbow, kitty and a paper boat.

Some hops are used more than once. I liked having played a flower hops twice. I didn't like matching pairs in my hops. I did like a mini-game where you find objects on a crocheted curtain. I used the guide to understand the mini-games and it made it more fun. I liked the throwback to Immortal Love. I liked the room with the teacup planter and wished that was one of the wallpapers but it's not. Has nice glass window hops. The tool vending machine was nice.

The bonus chapter is a prequel. You have two character that you change places with. I took my time with this game and broke it up into more than one day and I didn't feel it was short.

Replay 12 hops, 14 mini-games, 29 movies and 6 movies.
You have 12 wallpapers (2 without game stamp) and 4 concept art. Show less

Any storyline that works this well integrates the hidden object scenes and puzzles into its plot twists so the player feels completely immersed in the game. And the graphics are extraordinary and complete the fantasy.

My review is based upon completed play of the game and Bonus Chapter. I play in casual or relaxed mode, as I am in no hurry, preferring to listen to the music and admire the graphics. For me this was not a short game. The Bonus Chapter is a bit short and heavy on hidden object scenes but it also introduces another plot twist so I enjoyed it overall. Show less

Since this review of Bridge to Another World Gulliver Syndrome is a day late, I am not going to have much to say that hasn’t already been said in other reviews. I’m going to simply say that I loved this game. I have played through the whole game and found it to be wonderful, including the storyline.

As many of you may already know, I have asked for quite some time that games are not overloaded with puzzles or mini-games but that they are at least equal in number to HOPS. 4Friends Games got it right with this game as it is not overwhelmed with puzzles at every turn and that the puzzles are almost equal in number to the HOPS. So, a huge thank you to a developer who listens to what gamers want included in HOPA games.

When I began to play the game I found the HOPS to be very creative. One of the first ones is a spin on one from another game by this developer and although it isn’t exactly the same, it is just as enjoyable. There were so many small touches in the game that made it a graphic delight for me and the way I like to play. I tend to be a slow player because I always become so immersed in the graphics and every little detail to be found in the different scenes. 4Friends is a developer who does an awesome job with creating their games that I always have to gawk at every scene to see what I can find and mostly what I don’t want to miss.

Not only were the HOPS excellent, IMHO, but so were the mini games. I loved the first one where I had to trap the donkey – how fun! And then when the donkey brays and I see his teeth that are so detailed I had to laugh. The entire game has been a delight for me and one that I will replay many times in the future.

My thanks and kudos to BFG and to 4Friends for Bridge to Another World Gulliver Syndrome. As always, even though I loved this game I recommend that you try the demo to see if it is a game you will enjoy. Happy gaming! Show less

I love the story, graphics, and gameplay, as well as the puzzles which are on the easy side, and which I prefer.

Unlike some others, I do prefer the game to be on the short side. I rather finish a game wanting more than finish it and say "at last it's over".

I loved this game and am leaving it installed for the next sale. My review is based on the demo. I had 12 minutes left on my free hour when the demo ended. I loved the unique story, the graphics, and the fact that it isn't so ridiculously hard or illogical that it becomes annoying or stressful. I loved this game and am leaving it installed for the next sale. My review is based on the demo. I had 12 minutes left on my free hour when the demo ended. I loved the unique story, the graphics, and the fact that it isn't so ridiculously hard or illogical that it becomes annoying or stressful. It is just a great, fun, entertaining, beautiful break from your day, with a fun, whimsical storyline. You can customize the level of difficulty, which was also a nice touch. I almost didn't try this game, based on the rating and some of the negative reviews, but I'm so glad I did! You might be really glad you did, too. Generally, I like Time Management genre because it gets your brain so jumbled you really can't think about life's stresses, but if these are really good, sometimes a very pretty one is a nice break, but they do have to be very good, otherwise I'm just anxious to get back to everything I need to do and it's not much of a break. This one was perfect. It kept me entertained; in fact, I look forward to getting back to it. Check it out! Show less

I admit it that turning fantasy stories into games is worth it and full of interesting ideas that 4 friends games came up with. Congratulations and keep it up. I can't wait for the next one.
