We've had to wait a long time for a new Spellarium release but it's been worth the wait! I love the new colored tile feature where you have to make matches over them of a specific colored tile in order to remove them, which often times are blocking other areas. We've had to wait a long time for a new Spellarium release but it's been worth the wait! I love the new colored tile feature where you have to make matches over them of a specific colored tile in order to remove them, which often times are blocking other areas. I know that a lot of people have complained that the tutorial is horrible on games by this dev, but they always include a Tutorial Book on the top left side of the screen. The book shows you everything you need to know as well as tips and tricks.

The object of each level is to remove all coins, (and the colored tiles) on many of the levels you will need to make several Match 5's to earn Rockets because rockets are the only bonuses that can reach the outer boards or protected explosions, you will need to make several Match 5's to receive Rockets that will go after targeted coins that are located on the outside area of the board, or located behind obstacles that have no access otherwise! Matches of 4 tiles will earn you Dynamite that explodes to destroy those nasty ladybugs or set off chain reaction bombs, Matches of 6 tiles earn a Star that targets all tiles of the same kind as matched with.

Of course, there are several obstacles such as Crates, Crates with Shields, Ground tiles, Clay tiles, Stone tiles, Fog, Ice, and even Green Fog. Each of these obstacles requires specific items to destroy, you may need to fill bottles with liquid, fill in coins with liquid gold, move keys towards locks, move coin halves to make a whole coin or even ignite cannons.

There are Stumps that contains pictures and a number. You will need to make a specified number of matches of that specific tile to remove the stump that blocks areas of the board. Sometimes there is more than 1 Stump and you'll need to figure out which stump to remove first because one stump may be holding up stones that will fall and create a blockage if it's removed first.

This is one of the few Match 3 games that I choose to play on Limited Moves, I usually like Limited Time Match 3 Games, but for some reason, this game is more fun when you play in Limited Moves. All games by this dev are exceptional, and I'm glad they finally released a new Spellarium, I highly recommend this game, enjoy!

I love this series, so I had to play the demo. After 5 minutes, I purchased it. It is exactly the same layout as the previous games, but this time you have to match the color of the squares. It offers relaxed play, which I enjoy. This old brain doesn't like to work too hard. LOL

I recommend this game!

I am loving this one! It is familiar to other offerings in the series as to what to expect, dynamite, dropping fluid, rockets, fire spreading to frozen, mist, keys and locks, ladybugs, minigames and building a scene with your loot.

When I saw the game come up I hesitated as I have all the others..but there are quite a few features in this one that have been vamped up in the gameplay.

Once this game was ONLY about coins, NOW there are coloured tiles you must clear and sometimes that takes quite a few matches over them which can actually get your adrenaline going hoping each one is the last lol.

Often the goals are to collect a certain number of a particular token to clear parts of the board, but also sometimes if you gather them all too early they are the thing that brings the dropping rocks down, adding quite a lot of strategy to what you do. In fact I have found that I am thinking a lot here...its not mindless matching. Which direction you go is paramount..

The new tiles are just so pleasant and eyepleasing and I certainly don't feel like I am rehashing any of the games I own again. Theres only about 100 levels, which isn't huge, but there are the skippable mini games that pad it out to a decent time for an SE. There are three modes of play,timed, relaxed and limited moves.

I am loving this one for covering all the criteria, sound, looks, smooth game play and skill. Try the demo, but really I think its fabulous! Show less

The user's guide in the top left corner is an essential read to understand how each tile type (whether obstacle or power-up) needs to be dealt with and/or behaves.

It's very similar to LARUAVILLE but the devs always introduce a "little something" new with each release. This is a purchase for me!

Try it: you'll see how distinctive the tiles are, and how quickly you'll get addicted to what appears to be another fantastic game! Show less

I played the trial version for about 5 minutes, just to make sure it played okay on my computer even though I've never had any problems with this series in the past. When I saw this as the day's new game, I was thrilled. I played the trial version for about 5 minutes, just to make sure it played okay on my computer even though I've never had any problems with this series in the past. Spellarium and Laruaville are simply top notch match 3 games - incredibly unique. There are always a few new features and they are always a step up from previous versions. I do have one problem though; once I start playing I find it nearly impossible to stop - even to grab a bite to eat when I'm hungry. I just keep playing. There are only a few "instant buy" games out there for me and Spellarium is definitely one of them. Show less

Been waiting for the next installment of this game. This games new tiles and a little different format than the other ones in the series. our wizard old and dying so we have to help him please the Gods to lengthen his life. very good game,and very enjoyable to play. This is a keeper

This is a wonderful game - similar to the Laruaville series but I love them too. The colored tiles are great and I used the tutorial even though I know the series. The side games are great. I love the spot the differences and the solitaire games. Loved seeing the wizard again and helping him rebuild.
