Detective Agency Mosaics may be a new mosaic game, but Mosaics is what this developer does best! You won't find a mosaic game with better graphics, more amazing color choices, options, or even a more interesting storyline than the mosaics offered by the same developer who delivers us the Rainbow Mosaics series. They have even added a Mini-Game feature, similar to "Tetris" that thrilled this puzzle geek immensely!

You will come across a (?) Question Mark on each puzzle that hides one of the Numbers in a column. When you click on the ?, it will activate a puzzle that requires you to drag all of the shapes into a grid without overlapping pieces. (btw: the puzzle shapes look really cool in the Lego-style) You can Skip the mini-game, and eventually, you will be able to figure out the hidden number by a process of elimination without having to click on the question mark at all, but I loved the puzzles!

There are 120 Mosaic Levels with 14 Tile Styles (but I always seem to choose the Lego-style tile every time) and 2 Cross-off X's choices and you can play in an Expert Mode that only crosses off the numbers when the entire row or column has been completed. There are 10 Achievements to earn and all 120 levels are available in the Freeplay section once played in the main game.

As you correctly fill in squares, you will earn coins that can be used to purchase decorations for the Agency or purchase upgrades for the Power-ups which are hint forms that will increase in the size of coverage with each upgrade. The Dog & Rocket power-ups open a random right square, the Lightning power-up opens up a chosen square with no negative outcome, the Lamp power-up opens a chosen grid area without a negative outcome. The power-ups can be upgraded twice, each upgrade covers a larger area on the grid.

For those of you who have never played this type of game before, don't let it intimidate you. When I first started playing games I passed Mosaic puzzles up because they looked so complicated but they really aren't, and they are extremely addicting, once you start playing, it's hard to stop! I usually avoid mosaic games as I tend to find them boring after a while and frustrating, however I Read the reviews and thought I would give this a go and I love it to the extent that I can't stop playing it. If you, like me, don't usually try these type of games give this a try, you might be surprised

What a fantastic new mosaics game from the same great devs who bring us the beautiful Rainbow Mosaics series. They deliver the best, IMO. What a fantastic new mosaics game from the same great devs who bring us the beautiful Rainbow Mosaics series. They deliver the best, IMO. I appreciate the fine quality, the logic-based puzzles, interesting little storylines. Such a relief, too, today, from all the TM games we have recently been hit with daily.

In "Detective Agency" the puzzles are easily identifiable with good detail, the colors are bright and beautiful and the images are cute as can be, great variety. There is a multitude of tile choices, I like trying them all. The graphics are excellent, nice backgrounds, I like the music. The game plays smoothly. I honestly cannot find one negative about this jewel.

Earned coins will get you decorations for Ms. Holmes' agency or power-ups for those times of some needed assistance. A couple of new features add more fun, I always enjoy mini-games. There is Expert Mode, the usual amount of levels, number of mistakes allowed. Numbers alongside and above grids help you keep track as you progress.

With so few quality mosaics available to the many fans of this genre, I hope these particular devs read the reviews and bring us more great puzzles. Would also love seeing our cute little robot friend again soon! I thoroughly enjoyed this game and look forward to more, hopefully sooner than later. I play mosaics daily, addiction was unavoidable once I became brave enough to "dip my toe in the water" as they say. Show less

This was such a great game. thoroughly enjoyed it. I like to play mosaic games but this one is the best. Not only a mosaic game but different things to do in it. I definitely purchased it after playing only a small portion of it because I liked it so much. Give it a try. You might enjoy it as much as I did.

I love this one and it even has a story, which gives it a little something more. I found the puzzles more challenging, and even though I've had to start over again many times, I've never become frustrated, only challenged. This is a very fun little game that is very polished. Nice little extras like the ability to change the style of mosaic and the plethora of hints available is welcomed. I prefer this to the official picross games that are double the price.

I recommend this game!

I thoroughly enjoyed this mosaic game. I am a mosaic fan so when I saw it was from the Rainbow Mosaics developers I bought it straight away. I was not disappointed. Great graphics, tile choice, storyline, and the challenge level was just right, it was very entertaining. Hurry up part 2 !
