Granted, I'm an early adopter of all things Snuggford. I've played the original Maggie's Movies over and over since it came out in 2018 (as I have all Delicious Universe games). I had just about given up on whether there would ever be a sequel. When I saw Maggie's Movies: Second Shot, I purchased it before even playing the demo. That was a first!

Granted, I'm an early adopter of all things Snuggford. I've played the original Maggie's Movies over and over since it came out in 2018 (as I have all Delicious Universe games). I had just about given up on whether there would ever be a sequel. When I saw Maggie's Movies: Second Shot, I purchased it before even playing the demo. That was a first!

And boom! I have not been disappointed at all. We pick right back up on Maggie's life, true to story and character. We rekindle other old friendships and meet engaging new characters with their own backstories and arcs. The graphics are lovely, the mini games are cute (and don't foil me simply because I can't click that fast--yay!), and Leon is adorable!

Snuggford and it's residents are like a tv show you love, and Maggie's Movies: Second Shot is a spin-off that won't disappoint.

*Full disclosure, I'm only on level 16 so far. I'm taking my time and having a ball!

I love playing the Delicious series. This one is very similar to the types of storylines. I like the movie set theme, it keeps the games different from each other but still easy to learn how to play. You can immediately tell that this game is not a Big Fish-associated game. This game is officially a part of Game House but available on Big Fish. If Game House were open on PC, I would not purchase games from big fish.

This might look like your typical client serving TM game but you'll find that some levels, especially the challenge levels, require strategy to win. You'll get frustrated if you do not realize this. Read further below for an example explanation.

There are 60 regular levels and 18 challenge levels. In addition, you can create different profiles set to different modes: normal, relaxed and challenging to get even more out of the game. This game does not involve much cooking except in the later levels but make no mistake, it's not so easy.

Now, for the promised explanation. For example, with Challenge #18, simply getting a gold star isn't enough to win. You have to be strategic and time your service so that you not only get the gold star but also ensure that the flow meter does NOT run down when the game is over otherwise, you'll fail the level. For me, this involved getting my gold star and finishing the accompanying flow cycle and NOT serving customers after that. So yes, I had to let all the customers leave hungry and angry because had I started serving them, that would trigger another flow cycle and if I didn't have the right number of customers to complete a flow cycle when the game was up, I would fail the level. I learned this from many previous attempts. When you play, you'll understand.

Anyways, I highly recommend this game for a unique spin on service TM games. Great buy. Show less

I've enjoyed the game. I like unlocking new products and the speed of the game. It was challenging but fun. I wouldn't mind it being more difficult but it was fun. The storyline is always so soapy so I pay it less attention.

The only reason I took a star off is because of the Flow Meter. Played the last Challenge at least 10 times and served all the customers with a Full Meter. What was obnoxious is that the Flow Meter continued to keep running after last Customer was served. This negated meeting the challenge. This IMHO is LAME. I rarely stop until I've gotten all Trophies, but this was just ridiculous!! I like a challenge and don't mind replaying a level, but this was just irritating. Not good programming in my opinion.

If you don't mind this, you will like the game. Show less

I thought the first "Maggie", episode was so-so. Nothing major wrong with it. But the story line was clunky and depressing. I didn't really like any of the characters. I had a coupon and a lot of time on my hands, so I got the second and was pleasantly surprised.

This time, I enjoyed the characters and the dialogue.
I like the way they put the mini-games into their own little zone inside each chapter - they didn't interfere with the game play. There are six locations and a nice variety of products and upgrades. This game is similar in play to the Delicious Emily series and features a chameleon to find on each level.

The one big downside, which prevented me from giving it five stars, was a new wrinkle they labeled, "the flowmeter". It features into several of the challenges, but is always present in the upper left corner. Every time you fulfill an order or request, the meter fills up and starts to drain and it makes constant noise, like a pinball machine. It beeps at a different frequency the closer you get to the top of the flow. It is beyond annoying.
I like to play on casual and just enjoy myself. Usually, I can get through the levels and challenges fairly easily. But the two flowmeter challenges were like pulling teeth, even on the easiest level. Get rid of it !

Still, overall, it was an engaging game and I will look for the next Maggie's Movie title. Show less

It wasn't that fun for me. I thought it would me more like the Delicious Emily series. I really miss those, especially the ones from earlier, not to big on the newer one. This game wasn't that exciting and seemed to drag on. I played it for about 45 minutes, and I had to force myself to do this.

I don't recommend this game.
