I played thru level 9 & bought it. It's a fun game. TM games are my favorite. I read that one other user had technical probs. I didn't experience them, everything runs smoothly.
I recommend this game!

This is amazing continuation of Megara’s adventures! I love new features, objects, graphics and the whole theme (toys, sweets, child’s play). The game is very colorful and funny; it’s pleasing to the eyes as well as for mind. Many challenges, unique tasks and enemies await us in pursuit of Antigone. Bubble gum puddles make the workers slower, windup mice steal resources, tin warriors block the path, strange many-eyed monster petrify the workers and so on. For completing some levels you need not just run and clear the roads but also you need to solve the riddles and puzzles (for example, rotate the blocks and find necessary order of pictures for opening the gate to the town of childhood). Although the gameplay is well-known and similar to the previous game (as well as to Hercules games), all these tasks and unusual view of resources and buildings (cotton candy working like a bush etc.) add diversity and lots of fun!
Equipment is another very special feature of this game creating new strategic opportunities and goals. You collect the gems looking for puzzle pieces and hidden objects or completing the achievements, and then you can buy helmets, boots and other equipment. Every item gives its own bonus, belongs to a special set and can be put on or off according to your needs. For some levels you can choose equipment increasing running or working speed, for others you can wear items protecting from petrifying or something else. That’s really interesting to choose which item to buy right now, and which item is better for the specific level.
The plot of the game is quite interesting and has some unexpected twists. The graphics are colorful and sometimes even adorable (what a funny huge cat on the map). The very first levels of the game are not that fascinating but the further you get the more interesting they become.
Compared to the previous game, I noticed some other improvements: no annoying wizards, better balanced gameplay and tasks, improved map containing blocks of cups describing all the achievements (for example, in the Hercules games, the descriptions of achievements are scattered on the map which is not that convenient). In addition, now the levels are not blurred before you start playing, and you can read the dialogues, examine the level map, think out some strategies, and only after that start playing.
The Collector’s Edition includes extra chapter, wallpapers and guide (text-and-picture guide). Worth to buy for playing more levels and having more fun. Show less
I recommend this game!

It should be made very clear about this but it's not which is why I am deducting a star.
Another thing that was mentioned re the previous game was you do not get any stars if you play in relaxed.
If you play in normal which I recommend everyone whom normally plays relaxed does you will have the opportunity to get all stars but when the time runs out you can continue. it does not finish.
Now on to the game itself , once again we have the easy levels to start but do persevere to the end of the demo as it gets much better.
Different things have been added, the more hidden objects you get this allows you to purchase upgrades. Not sure if this is just a CE thing or you will get upgrades in the SE ?
They are always very unclear about this.
There is no wizard this time but a creature who will turn you to stone if you are in his zone when he wakes up. You can time this to work but of course will affect your time if going for 3 stars.
There are other things added like clockwork mice you need to remove which prevent you picking an item up.
I am on level 20 now and enjoying it.
Try the demo and do not give up after the first few levels play to the end and then decide.
I am not sure if it is CE worthy as I am not certain if you get the bonuses in the Se but bought it because I wanted to carry on
I hope this helps Show less

This version is more winnable, less aggravating. In my previous review of Demeters Cat-astrophe Collectors Edition I despaired on the game having unwinnable levels in timed mode, especially those levels with the wizard. This version is more winnable, less aggravating. In my previous review of Demeters Cat-astrophe Collectors Edition I despaired on the game having unwinnable levels in timed mode, especially those levels with the wizard. Well I ran out of TMG games to play and I just went and replayed the levels I lost in Cat-astrophe and eventually won them, although it took many replays. I still don't like those levels with the wizard. In this new game the wizard is replace with a multi-eyed monster that turns the servants into stone if caught, but it was easier to avoid the attacks. And as before, the stone curse can be lifted at cost.
This game has good, detailed and colorful graphics, no dark screens. Music is the same 4 riffs of a mixed Celtic-Medieval type orchestrated music, not bad but not enough variety.
The interface has the basic options of Full Screen, Tutorial and Game Cursor. But you still can't disable the dialogs which are a nuisance on replays There are 3 time modes- Easy, Normal and Difficult.
The bonus levels are tied to episode sections and you must get 3 stars for all episode levels to play.
The game has very basic strategy guides. It does show you the location of the hidden easter egg in each level. The easter egg is a square H jewel object. With each star award you get these purple tokens that go toward purchasing bonus advantages.
I was able to get 3 star awards on each level in basic time mode without any aggravations. I approved this sequel. Show less
I recommend this game!

They also got creative with the Achievements which unlock various tasks and award you with red gems when you reach various milestones.
The problem I ran into, however, was that the music was hideous, it sounds like organ music from an old movie and it gets really loud in an attempt to make the game seem more dramatic than it actually is. Okay, I can turn the music off and play in silence if I have to (who wants to do that?) but then I noticed that the game seems to lag, resources wouldn't appear on the platforms for a split second after it had turned green, not to mention that a farm showing wheat being harvested would produce grapes, and gold mines produce shiny gold coins in mint condition? I found myself having to click on some resources a few times before the click would finally be accepted, and sometimes it would let me click on a resource that was blocked, but then it wouldn't let me remove it from the queue? I talked to several people who have 32-bit computers and they can't even play this game, they get nothing but a black screen! I have a 64-bit computer, so I'm not sure what the issue is?
If you can get this game to work smoothly, and you don't mind the hideous music that gets unbearably loud at times, it does have some interesting features. The Puzzle Runes (50) are a bit hard to miss, and they refer to them as "hidden" but they are neon green and quite large? I did enjoy the creature that could Petrify you, but one of the "abilities" you can purchase with the red gems is to lower the probability of being petrified!
I'm not crazy about the value of the CE, I will wait to see if the Standard Edition version still offers the achievements, which often times they do, and most of the time they offer the puzzle runes on the SE versions too. There are 50 Main Levels but just 5 Bonus Levels according to the Strategy Guide, as well as 10 Concept Art pictures and 4 Music Soundtracks which I guarantee I will not be downloading! I have opened my own forum, so you can find all of my series' lists at thewoodsforum.boards.net :) Show less

Since I can't click fast enough for most TM games, I always play on Easy mode which doesn't give stars in the Megara games which prevents getting the bonuses. I had hoped they had changed that for this one. It's a fairly fun game if you can play in the other modes. It's just not for me. Try it before you buy it.
I don't recommend this game.
