I was pleasantly surprised by this game. I love that it has a dark atmosphere and is not as cutesy as many of the other resource games. This is the first game in a long time where I even kept the music on.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game. I love that it has a dark atmosphere and is not as cutesy as many of the other resource games. This is the first game in a long time where I even kept the music on.

The graphics are nicely done, more detailed than some other resource games and again with a darker twist. Game mechanics are easy enough to learn without a tutorial but have enough new aspects to make me think (again: without tutorial). There were some things I had to find out gradually and some new tactics I needed to employ. I always like new twists to games.

Another thing I like is that you can turn off hints/tutorial as well as the dialogues. I'm rarely interested in the story and it's annoying when one has to click through dialogue between levels. Here, one click got rid of all the dialogue. Very user-friendly. At the beginning of each level, blinking arrows point out the camp - not crucial, but another nice convenience.

Pace (I chose the medium level) was good as well, I was kept busy but was not overwhelmed. There are three skill levels - yet another thing I like.

So if you want familiar gameplay but are not afraid to learn some new things, this is a nicely done game. The dark atmosphere is a great change to the usual games. Show less

I like this type of game so was interested in what looked to be a different twist and it turns out I LOVE it. This is the best game of this type I've played in a long time. love the game but need more directons

i love the graphics and the storyline is fine but i get to a certain level and cannot find any way to move on. i've restarted this game 3x and something always prevents me from finishing a level amd there are no proper directions to help me move on. i cannot even find a walkthrough so i guess for me it's a waste of money.

This one is good if you like a challenge. For the most part you can get 2 stars on the first try, but you'll need to think to get 3 stars (as it should be IMO). Also, unlike some other TM games, you can actually get stuck if you choose incorrectly on some levels. No big deal - just restart the level and figure it out. I like this - no pandering to my ego here :)

I agree with the others - there's not much in the way of explanation for what makes which resources or what some of the bonuses do, but you can figure it out if you're willing to replay a level a couple of times.

There's also a little badge/ puzzle piece to find on each level. A fun little extra. Spoiler: if you don't find it the first time, you can revisit the level to find it and just exit the level when you do; it retains the "found" status even if you don't finish the level.

I actually like a game that's not so easy that I can breeze through it on my first try. I like to get my money's worth and this one does that for me. I got through the first 9 levels in the demo time (including replaying a few to up my stars), but I'll be going back to see if I can get 3 stars on all the levels.

I only finished about 7 levels. I took my time reading and looking at things. I left the "dialogues" on. For a Time Management game there was too much of a story for my taste. I felt I was getting the hang of collecting materials, and what needed to be done to finish each level. I only finished about 7 levels. I took my time reading and looking at things. I left the "dialogues" on. For a Time Management game there was too much of a story for my taste. I felt I was getting the hang of collecting materials, and what needed to be done to finish each level. If you like a bit of a challenge, a story within the game, take your time and see if this game is a good fit for you. (I tried the Collectors Edition trial without the "dialogues". I finished a few more levels than on the SE version. What I saw of collecting a couple of things to make a puzzle, etc. didn't seem worth the CE price.) Show less

I was excited fot a new kind of TM game. I really wanted to like it. But this one is too complex for me to just relax and have fun. Alas, I would have taken the effort to learn the logic of the game if the charcters were good and the storyline intriguing. The latter might be, but:
