of those cooking style TM games which I am not much a fan of'

I was pleasantly pleased when I realised it was the pick ip and collect type of game.

From the same developers that bring us the Alice series and some of the actions and a few of the sound effects give that away.

When I first saw this Game I thought it was one
of those cooking style TM games which I am not much a fan of'

I was pleasantly pleased when I realised it was the pick ip and collect type of game.

From the same developers that bring us the Alice series and some of the actions and a few of the sound effects give that away.
Now this is one of those games that you have to persevere with, it is no good playing the first 10 minutes then deciding it is not for you.

You need to stick with it as it becomes for me anyway very challenging, there are 3 modes which you can change if you wish to without having to have another profile,

There is a fairly good instruction guide and a strategy guide.

I would imagine the instruction guide will be available in the SE when it comes out.
You can turn off the dialogue and tutorial to whatever suits you.
They have made a valiant attempt here to provide us with a different game to the Alice games and I am finding it very interesting and enjoyable.
As said earlier it starts off a bit standard but once you get the fires etc it picks up.

Although I do love the Alice series it is nice to have a change,

It is true that there are similarities to the Alice series, but this is different enough to hold its own. I have a few Alice games, but am kind of over them for the time being. There are other things that are unique to this game; but my main point here is that even if you aren't enthralled with Alice, give this game a chance on its own merits because it is different in some significant ways when you get into the game. I am a fan of the Alice in Wonderland games, and this is made by the same game developer. Love the forest and planting theme. The graphics are great too. Any fan of the Alice In Wonderland games will enjoy Ellie's Farm. Waiting to see what challenges there may be as I have only played to Level 10, however, I purchased this immediately.

I absolutely loved it, very much resembles Alice in Wonderland series, but I really liked the storyline! Gameplay was as addictive as always and you can choose how challenging you would like it! Highly recommended :-)

We see this arrangement in many other games: Alicia Quatermain, Elven Legends and Alice's Wonderland, where it's the lead female character and her strapping assistants and they all do specific tasks with no overlap. OK, no problem.

At first I was inclined to think this was a dash kind of game until I read that it was an Alice variant and so I tried it right away. So far, it's a gentle and pleasant resource management game, where you're taxed with restoring various plots of land by using "glades" for wood, gardens, etc. You then are gradually restoring an old and beat-up farmhouse as well. Little objects to find--that paint palette again and various veggies.

Scenes are pretty and very intuitive if you've played the Alice games before. Normal mode is a bit more challenging this time, so you're likely to have less time left on the clock when completed. You can disable dialogs and hints-yay! Music is easy-listening acoustic stuff; you can turn it off. In the CE, you have achievements, which you commonly get just by playing the game anyway.

A pleasant if fairly nondescript addition to your TM library, imo, especially if you're a fan of this developer's various games. Show less

I found this game to be quite glitchy but mostly, I was disappointed that the CE content was not available in the demo. Do you expect me to pay twice as much for the game and just keep my fingers crossed hoping I like the extra features in a game that has no previous versions to judge the worthiness of its CE content by?

Speaking of CE content, the tutorial pointed to the puzzle pieces which disappeared before I could click on them, but then showed that I had found them. I thought it was just a tutorial glitch where it gave you the collectibles automatically in order to explain the feature but this same scenario happened 3 other times, and I didn't bother clicking on them because I couldn't access the CE features like the puzzle room, the painting room where you supposedly paint a picture with the palettes you collect or upgrading the house with the stars (pop up window says the bonus content is only available in the purchased game)

Maybe these CE extra's are something I'd enjoy and would eagerly pay the extra money for, but I won't buy a CE version if I don't know what I'm getting for the extra cost...why the need for secrecy? You may think it was a "teaser" feature to entice people into purchasing the game to find out what they get. I see it as a huge mistake, it's almost deceptive, in fact, it makes me think that you, the developers aren't very confident in its worthiness either and hope to get sales simply from customers who are curious about the feature. Perhaps it was because I didn't purchase the game, but I didn't see any indicators to tell me if I had found the Puzzle Pieces or the Morphing Palette, either in-game or on the level; map, maybe that is in the purchased version as well?

I also had to switch to the System Cursor because my Custom Cursor kept disappearing or was wildly jumping all over the screen.

As for the game itself, it seems to have the standard tasks of gathering food, clearing debris such as weeds and trash from the paths, repairing bridges, etc. It also has some unique features such as cutting down trees & replanting insta-grow trees, activating Portals to hop from area to area, restoring plants that make magic elixirs or repairing compost bins for materials.

Yes, it is Alice played in forest. I felt it was missing the depth of other TM games. I was often bored with it. The "extras" of puzzle and "building a house" I could do without. Added nothing to the game. The strategy guide is good and I enjoyed the music. Graphics were a bit basic, and linear. I play TM games almost exclusively and found this one so-so.

I recommend this game!
