An adventure trip to Greenland. I like the game very much, there is a lot to do and I think the graphics are beautiful. Reminds me a bit of Labyrinths of the world. But it doesn't matter, I liked playing that series too.
P.S. I do NOT work for Big Fish.
I recommend this game!

REVIEW BASED UPON THE ENTIRE GAME
4 Chapters Plus a Bonus Chapter – Strategy Guide: 52 pages (My Time: 9 Hours)
Always wanted to discover a lost world, perhaps Atlantis? In this game, book a flight to Greenland where a secret entrance within a mountain transports you into a Lost World, a place consisting of parallel worlds of incredible beauty, and one which can only be discovered within the world of gaming. While enjoying the natural beauty of these lands, find a way to save them from a misguided evildoer who may destroy their existence.
Kudos to Domini Games on another gaming masterpiece. What I loved most about this game are the incredibly beautiful scenes depicting the flora and fauna of this lost world. The artwork in this game is exquisite. The illustrations depicting the lush, natural beauty of Arcalium are works of art. Domini produces more game for the money and this one is no exception. It is longer than most of their games. Although it is a long game, it has a good pace with lots of activities including some beautiful and creatively designed HOP scenes and many mini-games, most of which can be played in either an easy or hard version.
This game has the same format as the other Domini games. It has three collectibles - morphing Arcalium flowers and items belonging to the researcher in the game, Harper. Collect pearls which can be exchanged at the end of the game for items to outfit an Atlantean chamber. Domini has some of the collectibles well-hidden; however, most can be readily seen. Most of the mini-games can be played in either an easy version or a hard version. The difficulty can be set in the game’s menu but can be changed if any puzzle seems too hard or too easy. A thematic Match-3 game can be played instead of the HOP scenes. A new feature in this game is the option to choose between two endings. I feel this is a nice touch although I would love to know the alternative ending I did not choose without replaying the entire game.
MECHANICS:
• Four (4) levels of play including a customized version.
• 39 achievements.
• Collect 15 morphing Arcalium flowers and 15 of Harper’s belongings
• Collect 70 pearls to exchange for items to place in an Atlantean Chamber
• 21 wallpapers along with concept art, music, and video sequences
• Alternate endings. Choose between two scenarios on how the game ends.
• Replay 18 HOP scenes and 18 mini-games
BONUS CHAPTER: Let the sunshine in? Not in this chapter! The chapter is set in the Parallel World where a vengeful resident is out to destroy the kingdom by destroying the barrier which protects the kingdom from the sun. Play Saberia, (a character from the main game), a soldier of the kingdom out to save the kingdom from this misguided evildoer. This is long chapter, with five (5) HOP scenes and eight (8) mini-games. It is a prequel explaining some aspects of the Lost World. It is a long chapter with the same quality of activities as the main game. I found it a nice addition to the game and a worthy addition to make this a collector’s edition.

HOP SCENES: There are eighteen (18) HOP scenes in the game, all of which can be replayed upon completion of the game. There is a variety of styles of HOP scenes within the game. They are interactive – many puzzle-like. Besides the typical lists of items and silhouette scenes, there are spot-the-difference scenes and searches for items which are then returned to the scene and used in some way. There are also scenes in which given items are placed into the scenes in the proper location. I found some of the scenes somewhat challenging to play. If you click too many times, a watch appears and halts your search for a few seconds. My favorite is a gorgeous scene in which pieces of plant life are placed within the scene where they belong.
MINI-GAMES: There are thirty-two (32) mini-games, eighteen (18) of which can be replayed upon completion of the game. Most of the puzzles are offered in both an easy and hard version.
SPOILER: HERE ARE SOME OF THE MINI-GAMES WITHIN THE GAME: (E = Easy; H = Hard)
A. Mirror/lamp puzzle. Move mirrors to redirect rays of light so that each ray shines on a gemstone of a matching color.
B. E/H. Tangram puzzle. Place shaped wires into a grid so they fill the entire field leaving no empty spaces. The hard version has a more complex arrangement of wires.
C. E/H. Maze puzzle. Move a newspaper token to the end of a maze using arrow buttons to rotate the token as needed. You must set up the entire route before pressing the start button. The token must match up in direction with the image shown at the stop points along the path. The hard version has a more difficult pathway to traverse.
D. E/H. Paint ball! Using an arcade gun, shoot colors onto a picture as per given symbols representing the colored pellets to shoot. The easy version has 6 colors and hard version requires using and combining 4 colors
E. E/H Maze puzzle. Select colored balls and place them into like-colored slots. The easy version has 4 balls; the hard version has 6.
F. E/H. Stacking puzzle. Place boxes onto a forklift so all fit and are aligned at the top.
G. E/H. Switch puzzle. Click on symbols on a 5 x 5 grid so that no column or row has the same symbol more than once. The hard version has some stationary symbols which cannot be changed.
H. E/H. Maze puzzle. Drive a snowmobile while avoiding obstacles within its path. The hard version has more obstacles.
BONUS CHAPTER:
I. E/H. Scale up a wall by landing on designated rocks using handprints and footprints. 3X
J. E/H. Sequence puzzle. Place books in order from left to right in numerical order. The hard version has 10 books the easy version has 7.
K. E/H. Switch puzzle. Switch colored tokens along paths to connect them with their matching slots. The easy version has one more path than the hard version.
L. E/H. Strategy puzzle. Entrap a dog within a grid using stones. Move one step at a time placing a stone. The dog will then move one step to escape being trapped. The hard version has more stones to place and a bigger grid.
M. E/H. Block puzzle. Move blocks on a grid to create a path for red and blue crystals to exchange places. The hard version has a larger grid and more blocks to maneuver and move out of the way to open a path.

the game was long - very long - so money's worth but by the end of the game i was done. i am going to forgo the bonus chapter i might play that in a couple of months time.
the storyline was ok - i wish that the got the synch of the voices better.
i did like the bird nest (that was cute).
the achievements stayed on the screen way toooo long.
i am going back to play my old games because there are more challengers, better storylines (in the majority).
try before you purchase - happy gaming :) Show less

I liked the beginning. Then it just lingered on. I hate the hops penalty. You click around to find things and it has a pendulum that swings and you have to wait. It is again BEAUTIFUL. I love Domini games. The game is long. Very long. But very very complicated. The scenery is beautiful, if only you could go there on a journey. But the story is very very confusing and complicated. For the first time I rate a Domini game only 3 stars. And that is because I love their other games. But hopefullly they get this series in a mode.
I don't recommend this game.

You are speaking to your niece now on an expedition in Greenland when something goes wrong and the phone is dead. You "hop" on a flight to check out the scene in person. Once there you find everything belonging to the expedition where it was presumably left when they disappeared hours/days ago, including their fire still burning in the snowy campground. You investigate and manage to activate a portal into another reality just in time to see your niece carried off across the saddle of a native, while the only other member of the party is lying at the bottom of a small cliff. You enter the portal carrying a heavy statue you had found locked up at the camp.
The other side of the portal is a very beautifully drawn world of highly exotic flora and fauna, which you as a detective seem to instantly understand.
Good stuff: The artwork is really lovely, the natives creatively costumed, and the game play extremely Domini, down to the Match3 alternative to the HOPs which is the same one used on other of their games. There are three different collectibles: tiny pearls in the closeup windows, tiny expedition belongings in the distance, and morphing plants in the center of the scenes, along with other CE bling.
Bad stuff: Pseudo-tools, lack of cohesive thought, and a poorly thought out premise. In other words, what we've come to expect from this developer.
Bottom line: They've ripped off another of their own series - I thought I spotted Davona in Wallpaper #16 - and you must decide this one for yourself.
I pass, again.
Please try the Demo.

Completed game approximately 6.5 hours
24 Main Game Scene Locations +10 Bonus Chapter
Difficulty Range: Beginner

We can all admit that Domini always has amazing graphics and fairly decent fantasy-themed storylines. This is the twelfth game in a row that Domini has released as a "new" series entry, but everyone realizes that they are simply recycling games from their older series and pretending they are brand new series games...and this game is just another game in the Labyrinths of the World series! I don't really have an issue with this, it's actually a genius marketing strategy...however, there is a reason that Domini had to devise a genius marketing strategy in the first place...their average ratings are sinking fast and they only seem to have one diehard fan remaining!
I'll admit that I noticed a change in the game mechanics of Maze of Realities right from the get-go. They finally fixed the achievement pop-ups that would disappear before you could read them because they popped up during a cutscene video or a window showing the item you just received. Their usual MO consists of searching exactly 3 zoom zones per scene and the objects are used within that scene or occasionally the scene prior to which makes it impossible to forget what items are required and where. Not only have they added a few zoom zones, but those areas of interest are located in unusual places, and sometimes with unusual camera angles in an attempt to make the scene more dimensional. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that 3 to 4, sometimes even 5 scene locations were unlocked and required me to revisit when I finally found an inventory item. I loved games from yesteryear that had me revisiting the first few scenes even at the end of the game, it was so much more challenging! (such as Dire Grove, Beyond the Invisible)
This tells me that Domini is taking notice, and finally trying to fix the broken! A few games back, I pleaded with Domini to revisit and play older games, hoping they would implement changes by incorporating those beloved features that made older games so much more fun to play.
Unfortunately, they can't seem to figure out that their tasks are cliche, extremely repetitive, and almost always illogical. For example, I filled a large barrel full of water while it was floating in a lake, and then I lifted the entire barrel out of the water and onto the surface which was about 2 feet above the waterline....two strong men couldn't lift this much less 1 woman! To blend with the locals, we had to whip together outfits, the locals were all clean-shaven so naturally, I gave my friend a quick shave. The following cutscene shows my friend clean-shaven as he is facing me but then when he turns to the side he has a full beard, and as he walks away he suddenly goes back to clean-shaven...Atlantis is so magical! Towards the end of the game, I have to use directional arrows to avoid jagged rocks while chasing someone who apparently didn't encounter these boulders because he moved in a straight line and didn't have to stray course even a fraction??
How many times in a single game do you think we want to fan away smoke, (and in every game you've ever developed at that) how many times must we use a clothespin to remove broken keys, or push a key back through onto a newspaper, not to mention using lockpicks or makeshift lockpicks? How many buttons must we use as screwdrivers, how many ladders rungs and bridge boards must we replace using a heavy object for a hammer, how many wheels must we replace, how many times do we have to retrieve items behind thorny branches, underwater, or buried in a dirt pile...no one in their right mind would take the time to bury a broken statue piece or a typewriter key?! Domini****we aren't asking you to move mountains***we just want you to put forth some effort, ditch the repetitive, unimaginative, and boring tasks. I'd rather play a game that only has 3 interesting chapters than a game with 4-9 chapters that are stuffed with the same ole, same ole tasks that are repeated 10-15 times!
Audio/Visuals:
In the past, I could never really find fault with the audio or graphics in a Domini game, the graphics are really good even though they tend to be overzealous with the color palette, especially when it comes to the blue & purple hues. Domini is also known for adding items that can be interacted with but as you'll soon discover, these interactions become a rarety after the demo portion! The only area they have issues within this department is with the character's movements which are jerky or have unnatural strides when walking, and the lip movements never match up with actual words spoken!
Collectibles/Morphing Objects (CE version only)
Once again, there are a gazillion Missing Notes to discover which is the most worthless and uninteresting feature of all time. There are 15 Morphing Arcalium Flowers, 15 Harper's Belongings, and 70 Zoom Zone Pearls, used to purchase 15 Atlantean Chamber Items. There is an optional Collection Icon Tab that can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu which will light up when there is a collectible in the current scene. You can also choose to show/hide the availability of collectibles on the Map.
Hidden Object Scenes:
There are 14 Hidden Object Scenes +4 in the CE Bonus Chapter. The Hidden Object Scenes range from simplistic Listed Item Finds to variations such as Replacing Fruit items from the list into the scene logically, playing dress up by finding Silhouetted Shapes of clothing Interactively, Keywords in Sentence Finds, Swatches Finds, Finding 5 Matching Pairs of Flowers with Interactions, a Recipe-making Progressive-Interactive Silhouetted Shape Finds, Spot the Difference using an arrow to switch between two scenes and a dreadful scene where you are tasked with finding 1 bracelet, 1 earring, 1 beaded necklace, and 1 pendant after sifting thru the sand 4 times. It was dreadful because you had to wait for an eternity for the game to automatically scoop up a load of sand, and several more seconds waiting for the sand to sift through...then you had to endure finding the same 4 repeated objects which were impossible to miss because there are only 6-7 objects in the pile! I don't understand why the HO scenes were so ordinary and the colors so dull when the rest of the game had beautiful colors?
Alternate Match 3 Game:
There is an alternate Match 3 Game available (with the same icons!) for those of you who don't want to play a Hidden Object Scene. The Match 3 game still doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly because you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match which makes the game super slow and boring. The M3 boards are always the same levels, with the same icons. They are always just a square grid with no obstacles to overcome or bonuses to earn, and the difficulty never increases as you progress. FYI: one of the achievements requires you to play the alternate Match 3 game in place of the HOS. (just once)
Mini-Games:
There are 24 Mini-Games +8 in the CE Bonus Chapter (not including small HO puzzles such as putting torn fragments together). You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game)
My Top 5 Personal Favorite Mini-Games:
1-Use directional arrows to guide 2 birds to their nests at the top without getting knocked off by moving tokens.
2-Swap triangle puzzle pieces to complete the image. (this was a puzzle always offered by EleFun Games & I loved them)
3-Arrange crates of varying sizes onto a pallet (I wish this involved more boxes or had extra boxes that aren't used to make it more challenging but I love figuring out the perfect combination)
4-Redirect rays of lights using directional mirrors to shine colored light rays to their matching colored gems. (I love this puzzle and would love to see a bigger version)
5-Place wires of varying patterns so they connect to every point on the grid (some wires need to be rotated first)

My Top 5 Least Favorite Mini-Games:
1-Turn all lights on (clicking 1 may affect others)
2-Click to change directional icons then click play to move the newspaper along a path in the correct orientation. (who would bother buying a newspaper if they had to do this every time?)
3-Slide square tiles into an empty slot to recreate an image.
4-Launch the correct matching colored ball down a spiral in the correct order.
5-Place figurines onto their matching colored bases.
