I am very happy that my favorite game from many years ago is back! I've only gone through a few levels so far, but everything is as it should be. New graphics, - here and there with a slight squeak, - but otherwise I have no reservations. I really like the music, - and especially the overall impression. Good old time management games... It is a pity that there are not more of them.

I recommend this game!

I read the one star comments & still decided to give this game a try. I didn't experience any of the problems the one star reviews mentioned.
The game is as was expected and I enjoyed playing the game.

TM games have gotten so difficult - some with little to no instruction, some with too much clicking to get nowhere, some story lines that are rife with translation & spelling errors, etc. - that I'm not impressed with them much anymore. I'm old. I've been playing TM games for over 20 years and gaming for longer. TM games have gotten so difficult - some with little to no instruction, some with too much clicking to get nowhere, some story lines that are rife with translation & spelling errors, etc. - that I'm not impressed with them much anymore. I do have my favorite series' and while I've never played a Jane's Hotel series prior to today (I can't believe I missed them!), I like this one. It's straightforward and mindless, really. It's comfortable, for me, at least. Yes, there's a lot of clicking, but the customer patience is high and you can generally pass each level well over the goal amount. No looking for mice, cats, or birds, at least through Level 21. I usually turn off the sound and pay no attention to the story lines (they are usually insipid and, yes, rife with translation, spelling and grammar errors). This one though, while having some translation issues, is easy breezy. No thinking involved once you know how things work, and by the 2nd level, you should be good to go. Show less

I actually enjoyed this game but I didn't find all the Bonus Content they claim is in this Collector's Edition version, I just found a tab with "extra's" that had 6 Wallpapers? The graphics are pretty darn realistic and each character has a different walking gait which is something you don't usually see in a Time Management game.

The graphics are pretty darn realistic and each character has a different walking gait which is something you don't usually see in a Time Management game.

The gameplay is about the same as the other Jane's Hotel games, but of course, the story is new, sort of. Jane buys the dilapidated Hotel that her Great-Grandmother Jane built back in the day.

The goals are fairly easy to reach, there are really only two goals, serve X amount of customers and earn X amount of money. There are only four rooms to deal with, and the poor maid does 99% of the work while Jane hands out room keys to new customers and checks them out, occasionally she serves a cup of coffee, a bottle of water, or carries a Wi-fi icon to a guest (had to chuckle at that one) or walk over to hand dice to a guest who wants to play a board game... all alone?

The maid, on the other hand, has to vacuum rooms several times during & after the guests, she has to pick up & return dry cleaning items, bring them extra linens, or plaid blankets...to make matters worse, she has to water the dang plants every single day, one minute they are doing perfectly fine, the next, they are brown, droopy, and losing leaves!

After each level you get to upgrade the Hotel, some items add an extra item to serve (board games, wifi, water, etc.) My only complaint was that none of the items came with descriptions to explain what they do, such as make customers happy, etc.

The Collector's Edition supposedly has 6 Wallpapers, Concept Art, 10 Bonus Levels, and 10 Upgrades. As I said, the only CE extra's I found was 6 Wallpapers in the Extra's Tab, there was a Collector's Edition banner on the top but nothing happened when I clicked on it.

If you have been playing TM Games for a long time, you will like this game. It's like playing a classic video game, you had to enjoy it when it first came out or you won't get it. Fun for all the OG'S out there !!

Great game, there is a trick with the maid if u don't know...u don't have to click the little circles for the different things to do..Just click the big maid icon and click the doors..if she is out already u don't have to click anything but the doors or plants..Same thing with Jane...The only thing that kinda bugs me is when u serve food or drink it don't show them eating or drinking they just bow ...Show more

I found this game fun. I did feel sorry for the maid. The only thing I did not care for was the moving back and forth on the last hotel. I would recommend this game.

"Jane's Hotel" is an old classic series I really liked, which played very well. In fact, I've started playing them all again recently, seeing as BF and developers have given up on releasing new and decent TM games, so I was quite excited when I saw this game.
However, I was disappointed.
The graphics are better, which is to be expected, but the game play simply isn't that good.

I only played for the hour free-play, so my review is based on that:
It's easy to pass every level and there is no real challenge.
The characters are all white, Jane is white and the maid is white, as are all the customers. Where's the representation?
The characters don't have any character. They're all the same with just slightly different tones of voice.
You can't upgrade rooms and place characters in different rooms according to what they want.
You can't choose the upgrade you fancy, it's just the next one they want you to have. The upgrades sometimes don't do anything to add to the game: ie: a cabinet that does nothing.
You can't upgrade skills: ie: Walking speed, skill speed. So you can't upgrade the staff to walk faster or do skills quicker.
You can't anticipate what a character wants and go and pick it up, you have to wait until they ask. Nor can you go towards somewhere (ie the main desk) by clicking on it, you have to wait until the customer asks for a key or wants to pay. The character walks back to the desk automatically, but only after a while. You can't just go there when you know a customer is on their way.
You lose "hearts" when the plants wilt, but you can't water them before they wilt, so you just lose hearts and there is nothing you can do to prevent it, you have to just water them afterwards. And this happens a few times on each level.
The maid does 90% of things, and when four people ask for everything at once, there is nothing you can do except make them wait.
All levels are the same, except when you "buy" something new, say a sandwich maker. When I reached the next hotel, it looked exactly the same.
Jane can't carry two things at once. So if two customers ask for two different things at the same time, you have to keep one waiting while she walks slowly around.

Very disappointing, considering it's supposed to be an updated new version of Jane's Hotel. It doesn't actually play any better, in fact, I'd say it wasn't as good as some of the previous incarnations of the series.
I *may* have bought this if it was just the regular edition, but I'm not paying double, especially after reading the reviews that the game stays the same. I've got so many points/tokens, I could if I wanted.
I dream of a decent TM game, but it appears BF aren't concerned about their customers anymore.
