I don't play sound or follow the storyline. I just want a HOG. This one was pretty good although I did need to use hints from time to time. I'd give it a solid B. It's worth a look.

I have always steered away from Domini games as their story driven HOPA's are extremely tedious and overly complicated to me - I prefer a bright and cheerful straightforward HOG where i can jump straight into finding stuff without needing to rely on a walkthrough to avoid getting stuck, or be forced to, for example "find the key to the gate" and do other time consuming "busywork" tasks while ...Show more

I have always steered away from Domini games as their story driven HOPA's are extremely tedious and overly complicated to me - I prefer a bright and cheerful straightforward HOG where i can jump straight into finding stuff without needing to rely on a walkthrough to avoid getting stuck, or be forced to, for example "find the key to the gate" and do other time consuming "busywork" tasks while enduring constant error messages like "that didn't work" and "let's try something else." So when this game was described as more of a traditional HOG rather than a HOPA I was interested. So far I've cleared 58 scenes and I have no idea how close I am to finishing, but I'm having a pretty good time with it. The scenery and artwork is beautiful. There IS a story you advance through and some "object assembly" of course so the messages "that wasn't my best idea" are still there, but it's somewhat less frustrating than the standard fare put out by this publisher. Who knows, maybe I'll attempt another Domini HOPA again after this one now that I'm learning the ropes. Recommended game (so far) especially for players like me who enjoy HOGs without overly complex storylines. Show less

I didn't have time to play this game when it was first released, but I did play the newest one, Connections of the World: Mirrored Earths. It is obvious that they have made improvements since this game, such as voiceovers, so I'm not going to judge too harshly when they seem to be putting forth an effort.

In my opinion, I get why Do Games are creating simple HOGs because they are basically responsible for creating two games a week for Big Fish Games. They need to release a few simple games in between their HOPAs which takes a huge amount of production time. How can anyone possibly keep up with releasing a quality HOPA twice a week? The quality is waning on those HOPA games because it's simply impossible to create a decent game at this maddening pace.

The Hidden Object Scenes vary with Interactive List Finds, Matching Pairs, Silhouetted Shapes, Combination Finds (this + this = ?), Related Pairs, Matching Swatches, etc. They are very colorful, unfortunately, they are really easy and present no challenge. After completing the HO scene, you will earn a Star that is used to decorate several different Boudoirs.

After a few HO levels, you will play a mini-game which can be skipped. I found the mini-games to be better than most HO games offer. They are really no different than the ones offered in a typical HOPA by Do Games.

Collector's Edition Extras:
10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, and a handful of extra levels.

as a standard version this game is worth to play or buy! It is boring all over, much too simple for a game today! No storyline, only click and as "reward" sample stars to buy senseless items, no voiceover but everytime the same sentence.
I think, it's time to end my game club membership. It's a shame, what bigfish is now!
