Be a King was a game I passed on when it came out, but now I have purchased it and played it. It was rather fun. I sort of combines a time management game with a tower defense game and it isn’t very difficult to play or win. Overall, it was a good decision to revisit it and buy it.

I recommend this game!

A lot of fun building and growing a town. Figuring out what to build next and how to accomplish your goals kept me interested through the demo.

Based on other reviews I may wait to catch this on a special, but it is definitely on my list to own!

Nice game to play without too much stress. Can play against the clock or no time mode. More challenging as the chapters progress. One the whole family can play.

This game was ok. Not very challenging. Only played the demo for 30min and was bored. Seems you do the same thing for every town. Voice over was good but graphics were not. People walked over and through buildings. Overall good game if you want something slow pace and not challenging.

I don't recommend this game.

I bought this game on impulse after completing the tutorials in the demo, believing the rest of the levels would require some hard-thought strategy.
Well, not quite....
First off, the objectives are limited and recurring with little variations. Hence a fair amount of repetitiveness.
Second, there is no place for any truly offensive or defensive strategy. Your town is constantly under attack but if you build enough towers and barracks that takes care of that. Then build a couple of farms or mills, and all that's left to do is to construct enough houses to complete each mission.
Third, the challenge level is practically nil if you don't play with the timer and still not very high if you do..
Fourth, in the Bulidings menu, two items never activate, the Lumber Mill and something else.
Finally, it's a short game, which I completed in one afternoon without rushing and allowing for a few coffee breaks.
Due to its repetitiveness, replayability is doubtful.
Be A King is worth 2 Stars if you don't use the timer, maybe 3 if you do.
But in all cases, you can skip it without regret, unless you have no better game to play or its price drops down to $ 2.99 Show less

The game seems a bit repetitive and hardcore to the point of Frustrating or maybe just getting too boring to even try to figure out what you really need to do and when you do figure it out you just do not really care to return and do it again. WHATEVER!
