Delightful game! If you like the Build-a-Lot or Be Rich/Richer games, you'll love this one. There are two award possibilities for each level and many bonus enhancements. There are many ways to combine bonuses, etc. to complete the requirements at each level. For me it was well worth it.
I recommend this game!

I'm going to disagree with a few of the comments about this game that say it wasn't much of a challenge and a bit like Build-a-lot or Be Rich. Sure, the game works in a similar way but the background story and a couple of mini-games add to the fun quite a bit.

I'm going to disagree with a few of the comments about this game that say it wasn't much of a challenge and a bit like Build-a-lot or Be Rich. Sure, the game works in a similar way but the background story and a couple of mini-games add to the fun quite a bit.
Additionally, some of the levels are pretty tough to break within the timer and you do sometimes need to replay them to make it work better if you're going to hit the time checkpoint for more experience points. I hasten to add here that you don't have to make the timer, it just helps if you do. If you prefer to play the game a bit slower then you won't be penalised for it - which is the correct thing to do for this game to prevent frustration for a lot of players.
With the added research tree and other elements, this game comes across just as good as, if not better, than a lot of other similar types of game and I've found myself putting a lot more time into it than I would have initially expected.
I know it's a bit of an old game now but it's still good fun and worth a buy - especially in a sale or as a monthly free game perhaps.
I definitely recommend this game. Show less

I really enjoy playing the mogul and tycoon games, but Vacation Mogul was just "okay" - not too much of a challenge, a bit repetitive and in my view, not enough levels.
If you also really enjoy playing these games, I would still recommend it - it's not the best, but since there aren't a lot of new options for this type of game out there, it's worth the $6.95.
I recommend this game!

Visually appealing-yes, musically appealing-yes, play appealing-no. Found it to be so repetitive it became irritating VERY quickly. Personally...I found no challenge to this game and became so very bored with it within minutes. My vote...don't spend your money on this one.
