I feel so glad to have the chance to play this - this feels like a good break from the fantasy and fairy tale HOPAs that I am slowly getting tired of... of course Dana Knightstone series has ghosts, but there isn't any magical occurences that are very predictable, or things that uses "magic power" to solve.
Adventure wise, I think Austrian Sonata is more exciting... but there are more story and side story in Cape Porto, it really feels like a novel. I like the little town of Porto! About the puzzles... I think some are some good and difficult puzzles, slightly repetitive, the HO scenes are a mix of complicated and average HOs. The voice acting are good too! Show less

Whether you are a Dana Knightstone fan or not, I think you can appreciate the unique sleuthing style of this game. I'm not quite sold on the CE version so far however because other than collectible cards, a strategy guide and a bonus chapter to offer I just don't think it's enough to satisfy most gamers. Dana has arrived at a beautiful hotel at Cape Porto after being summoned by an imprisoned soul whose death may have been caused by....(I can't tell you that!) Dana sometimes goes into a trance and travels back in time to discover clues therefore you must pay attention to the details because they are important clues to solving this case. The HOS are interactive list finds and the mini games are not really new but still fun. I liked the game where you had to connect fuses to other fuses with a line, but each fuse had a number indicating how many lines had to be connected to it, This game is a good change of pace from the usual genre and although I prefer the spooky genre I did like this game, enjoy! What a treat to have a new Dana Knightstone game! First Scotland, then Italy, then Austria and now Portugal! While attending the reopening of the Aldamo Hotel, you discover the death of Gabriela Montoya, who was engaged to Silvio Torres but married Joel Aldama instead. Gabriela's family owned competing vineyards to the Aldamas. She was murdered and Silvio seems to have been framed for her death. Since you are clairvoyant, you can see back into the past and find a second set of footprints! It seems the Aldama's aren't as innocent as they want you to believe.
The Dana series always has a great story. The demo only had one HOS, however, and just a few puzzles. But the puzzles all lead to needed items to move the story forward. I did have to use the strategy guide when I got stuck, although I eventually mastered the teleporting map with the clues turned on which made it easier.
There are three modes of play (no custom#, 15 achievements, and I kept finding pictures of the Aldamos that disintegrated when clicked -- not sure what that is. There is an Epilogue Bonus chapter, plus the normal CE extras. A great way to spend Thanksgiving weekend #if you've finished shopping!) Show less

Based on finished game + bonus chapter (written by a non-native :-) )
The Dana Knightsone games are my absolut favorite ones. Clear, nice colors, beautiful landscapes, interesting story. The HOs are different and special, the list HOs are very interactive.
The game was long enough, for me more than 4 hours. Now I'm waiting for the next one. :-)
Thanks Boom Zap and BFG!

I really liked this game. It was easy, but I played it on the Casual setting. Sometimes it's nice to just play a game that doesn't take so much thought. I thought the graphics followed the graphics from the previous game and were done with that in mind. I didn't use the sound so I can't speak to that. If you enjoy HO games and different mini-games and a break to all the harder HO games you'll love this one. Show less

Boom Zap never fails to deliver new sequels!
In this latest Knightstone, it was awesome to see refreshing ideas to spice up a long-run series. Game is a bit on the easy side but graphics are beautiful (this time set in Portugal) and the storyline is very interesting and refreshing! Definitely worth every penny.
I recommend this game!

This is a new game from the Dana Knightstone Novels, a detective stories. Again the romantic story!
It's not so easy game, but I like this middle of challenge betwin too easy and too boring hard.
The graphic is wonderful, very sharp and bright. Ah, and also, it's not so often, but here I like the lovely music.
I have tryed the demo first, but going to buy this one.
I recommend this game!

As usual, stunning graphics and beautiful settings. Good story line with Dana solving an old murder. Nice puzzles, medium skip, nice music. NO HINTS on this game, so if you havent bought the CE, it can be more difficult. Good length: 6 hours casual. Enjoyable game!

Tadaah...The much awaited sequel... Dana Knightstone never fails to surprise and amuse me!
There are more hidden object games (which i love playing most) and the art is just breathtaking.. Difficulty is quite reasonable. This is surely a buy for me!
