Did not inspire much hope

Journey of hope was not a very inspiring game for me it lacked guts, intrigue and interest. The only good part was the graphics which were quite good and clear, a few though were a tad dark.

Journey of hope was not a very inspiring game for me it lacked guts, intrigue and interest. The only good part was the graphics which were quite good and clear, a few though were a tad dark.
The dialogue I think was OK - most times it disappeared before I had a chance to read it all. The plot, if you could call it that was supposed to depict a young girl looking for her father but how it turned out was going from room to room, scene to scene looking for pictured hidden objects which seemed to have no point to the story. At one stage I was supposed to be looking for parts of a boat which included a dragon fly for example and a number other superfluous items which had nothing to do with a boat. Most of the puzzles could be solved by my 6 year old grand daughter, and were made even easier by the inbuilt help dialogue. When the hidden objects were found the game was very slow to acknowledge the find and at some stages I had found three or four before they started to clear. The hint, if it was needed at all was also very slow to replenish.
All in all not a game for an expert or an intermediate player, it may even to too simple for a beginner, so I can only recommend this game for a beginner or novice. Show less

The puzzles are way too easy and yet clues were all over the place- hand holding at its finest. An example: put together six torn pieces of paper (very simple right) yet there was an "outline" of which piece goes where. I am pretty sure no one would need help on this simple task.

Another example: a code was needed to open a safe. Yup I easily got the code so off to the safe I went. Not much of a brain needed on this one. And yet AGAIN there was a clue on how to "turn" the numbers. I felt like there was a "nagging coach" behind me saying "do this do that" every step I make.

Even a child can figure out the puzzles so the "solutions" need not be thrown in our face. Why bother creating a game if you also wanted to play it for us?

All Devs pay attention please....allow us the pleasure and enjoyment of figuring out what to do next. If anyone needs help they can easily go to the blog or Walk Throughs or SG thank you! Show less

I got this game in a pack of 20 hidden object games, and it's either the worst or next to worst one. There's a storyline that seems like it's just there because it's expected by the players. I don't usually review games... I play and then move on to the next. This one was so awful that I had to leave a rating. I got this game in a pack of 20 hidden object games, and it's either the worst or next to worst one. There's a storyline that seems like it's just there because it's expected by the players. There's music, which isn't too horrible, I guess. Visually, almost everything was in plain sight. However, at least one object was *completely* out of the screen and behind the menu. I had to get a hint and click around blindly until hitting it. Everything was super easy, puzzles had outlines of their solutions. A couple weren't quite that plainly laid out, but they were still super easy to solve (rotating circles to form an image, moving rows and columns around to form an image, etc). I wish I quit this early on and just uninstalled it. Kind of surprised how simple this was with the Big Fish name behind it. The Nancy Drew games can stump me for a bit as an adult. This game seems at a 5 year old level, although the historical names used if reading the story are a bit beyond that. Don't waste your time - you can find better games from Big Fish and even on Facebook. Show less

Don't waste your money, I finished the entire game within the trial hour and even had a few minutes left. Game is not timed as I took my time but this was way too easy. The hidden objects were not and the puzzles could be solved by a 5 year old. OK if you just want to waste an hour.

I don't recommend this game.
