This is a fun hidden object and design game. Light hearted, uplifting game. Great change from dark sinister games. How much you receive for finding items depends on how long it takes, so there is a time element, but the only "penalty" is that you have to play more games to get enough money to buy upgrades. Lots of fun.

Interesting combination of Farmscape characters and Gardenscapes HOG. Instead of buying vegies and fruit (M3) as we did in Farmscapes, Joe and Tom host jumble sales (HOS) to renovate the barn and save up for a tractor. I enjoyed playing this especially the interactive aspect. It was nice to see Linda again, too, as she "waddled" in to check up on progress and share her own unique perspective. The only thing I didn't like about playing Barn Yarn were the occasional "1000 extra points" to review other Playrix games which I already owned. After the first encounter, I ignored these pop ups. What I love most about all Playrix games is the careful integration of game play, graphics, music, and story. It is wonderful to see that this game team continues that tradition in Barn Yarn. I highly recommend this! Show less

I don't really have much to add, but the hour trial went way too fast. Great combination of genres, with the waiting customers adding time pressure to the Hidden Object Scenes. And I'm so tired of gloomy, dark, cobwebby, bloody, "scary" games called "Lost Death Manor of Dark Past Memories of the Abandoned Asylum Amusement Park".

I recommend this game!

As usual they don't disappoint. The games are fun, light, airy and continue to please. After all the dark games these are such a relief. The characters are good to see again and they change the game mode up enough from game to game to make it fun. I hope they continue to make these games, it's what I'm looking for, for sure.

I love this game. It is so much like Gardenscapes, Farmscapes and Dream Inn: Driftwood.
It is a nice break from chasing zombies and werewolves, which I love, but if I do not want to think too much....... I play these games.
I like when the people there interact with you and wave and such.
You have to be fast in finding the objects though, to get full price for the items. And the decorating is fun ...Show more

I just had to buy this game. I had way too much fun during my trial hour.

The characters are adorable. The animated scenes were hilarious. I am a hidden object fan so I was in barnyard heaven with this game. There weren't any annoying puzzles for me to skip and it was like interacting with a cartoon program. Being able to name the dog gave me the giggles. I won't tell you what I named it though. ...Show more

I love Farmscapes and have played it many many times, and this sequel is just as cute, simple and fun!! This time, Grandpa Joe is restoring an old barn with the help of his grandson. Instead of a match 3 like Farmscapes, this is a fast paced hidden object game. You have 3 different types of hints that can help you, and as you accumulate coins you buy things to make improvements. It has very smooth action...you just need to run your cursor over the coins as you find items and sell them, not like in Gardenscapes, where you had to click on the coins. This makes it much faster to move on to the next thing. The same cute characters are included along with some new ones; the story is sweet and uncomplicated and the artwork is adorable....all in all: a total hit with me! Show less
