After you play the main game... you have 3 more games waiting for you to play. I found out the hard way... make sure you don't miss anything before going forward! I got stuck. ;) I highly recommend this and I'm a 71 yr old great-gran. Way to go Big Fish and all.

John Forgehill was desperate to find a cure for his daughter's blindness, so desperate that he made a deal with the Dark Lord himself! The demon warned John the blacksmith, "You wish to heal your daughter, this comes with a high price, but so be it"! It has been 15 years since John was last seen, the first person to disappear without a trace, but certainly not the last. Lately a strange storm has appeared, claiming another victim each time it appears. This time you would have been a victim of the demon if the Huntress had not appeared out of nowhere to challenge this evil minion! Fate sometimes comes back to bite you, the Huntress is Emily the daughter of the blacksmith, determined to destroy the demons and find her father. Emily has no knowledge of the agreement her father made with the Dark Lord, but she truly believes there is a correlation between her sight being restored and her father's disappearance. You owe Emily for saving your life, are you brave enough to help her fight these demons and save her father?

It seems that with the abundance of games that have been rolling out, that there couldn't possibly be a new plot to cover that would be interesting enough to hold your attention. Seems that I was wrong because not only does this game have a great story plot, but the plot keeps thickening as bits and pieces of the story are uncovered and you just don't see that angle coming. Emily has given you a mirror which can be used to communicate with the Huntress, this is an icon that can be quickly accessed to the left of the screen. Shortly after you begin the game, you find a Red Panda trapped in a cage (from a circus?) and you release him by playing a mini game of swapping four different knot types to match the clues given at the top of each row. Once released, the grateful Panda joins you to lend a hand er..paw whenever your cursor displays a pawprint. Some of the inventory items have + sign indicating that the item needs further action before using such as combining two inventory items, opening or fixing the item.

Flames! There are really cool flames to collect, at first I couldn't find the flames, I kept looking for flames that might be hidden within the scenery, there is a tab on the left center of the screen that says there are 4 flames in this location out of 168! Turns out that you need to click on the glowing embers floating about random areas, that will poof into a flame, nice, really nice concept! The Hidden Object Scenes are interactive list finds the first time around, then they are repeated a second time in the same location as find 12 seashells etc. The mini games aren't too bad either, although nothing really new such as listening to a story about the Dark Lord and after a paragraph is read, you must find three symbols within the illustrations that are shown on the upper right corner of the book.

This Collectors Edition is fully loaded with 168 collectible flames that light candles that will shed light on the mysterious events that are taking place within the city (once they are all collected) Wallpapers, Concept Art, Achievements, Music, Movies, a built in Strategy Guide and not only do you get a Bonus Chapter, but there is a Hidden Chapter as well once you complete the lighting of all candles in the flame room, enjoy! This is the first time that I purchased a game by this developer. They seem to have done their homework to put together a game this has both challenge, diversity of game play, and a good storyline. Kudos to the developers.

This is the first time that I purchased a game by this developer. They seem to have done their homework to put together a game this has both challenge, diversity of game play, and a good storyline. Kudos to the developers.

It's good to see that the "victim" is not a female, but the father of one of the main characters who has gone missing with a number of town folks and who are being sought after by the daughter and the "detective."

In addition to the hidden object scenes being interactive, they are also of a different variety. While all have interaction, some you have to fine a number of the same objective (for example find 12 shell#, others you may have to find all the pieces of an object, and still others are find the symbols that are posted as a story is being told. I love it!

Throughout the story, their are "fireflies" to find #I think there are at least 4 sets in each scene) with a total of 168 to find to get extra storyline when you finish the game.

The map is also interactive, letting you jump to the scenes that have objectives to complete.

When you have to reach something that is out of reach, you have a helper to get it for you.

This is a wonderful game to play and I completed the demo wanting to play more.

I'm off to purchase.

With the buy one and get one deal, you can't miss by purchasing this game.

This is a fun game with some unique bells and whistles from the developer to keep you occupied this weekend!

You are a detective summoned to Ridleton to help stop the mysterious disappearances of townspeople. Along the way you rescue a red panda who becomes your assistant to reach places you cannot. You also meet Emily the Huntress, who was born blind but can now see. Her father, the blacksmith, disappeared at the same time she regained her sight, and Emily thinks they are connected. There is lots of smoke and a few wolves every time someone is kidnapped.

The graphics are very good - the policeman who fell into the lake just drips water when he is rescued. The lips move on the voice-overs. The HOS are either lists, find some number of items, or find items that are parts of a story. You can play Match-3 instead. The mini-games are easy but unique, so they are also fun to play.

The CE bling includes 168 flames to collect. There is a reminder in each scene for how many flames are left. The flames are marked by fireflies, so they are easy to spot. If you find them all, they make a painting that unlocks and EXTRA bonus chapter. The achievements include things like Horse Therapist and Zoologist, and create objects for the Panda's room - a nice touch.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable game that is not too taxing for a fun experience. Try it and see! Show less

The music is in keeping with the theme, there are flames to collect, each time you see sparkles moving click and collect the flames, I think this slightly better than the Tidesville game of this series.

Played this game over the course of the last few days, including the extra and bonus play. Absolutely loved it. The narrative points you along in the right direction without being too bossy and each story beat and reveal keeps you interested to want to make the journey to the end, as all good storytelling should.

The graphics and the music are beautiful. There was a musical refrain that reminded me of the theme from a movie called Witness during the barn raising. It was lovely.

Another of the collector's edition games that I enjoyed so much with surprises at every turn and some challenging puzzles to solve. I love hidden object games with a good story line and all the frills that are added to this game.

Great good fun for any age.
