I will admit that after 15 minutes into playing the demo I did not like it, the graphics were grainy and the game play far too easy.

I will admit that after 15 minutes into playing the demo I did not like it, the graphics were grainy and the game play far too easy.
After the fire on the stage the mother (who did not sound distraught over the loss of her 2 children) picked up an object from her handbag saying something along the lines of "I never leave home without my tuning fork"! She then used it once in the same scene and we never saw it again!
That's when I thought "Oh please, are you for real"!
However I like to give a game the benefit of doubt and continued playing the demo, the graphics became better, I did not experience a 10 second blackout when changing scenes as others have said, and the game opened in widescreen for me.
BTW - in the main menu there is a box you can tick to get widescreen although I didn't have to as the game started in widescreen. We all have different systems so we all get different start-up systems.
For me it pays to have 9 grand-monsters with an age range of 4 to 18 years who help me work it out #a little tip for any Grandmas out there, the 10-12 year olds are the best to ask#.
Levels: Casual, Advanced, Hard - no Custom. I chose to play in Casual as I wasn't in the mood for Hard.
Chapters: There are 6 chapters and a Bonus Game, as I haven't finished the game the 3 chapters I played were of a decent length.
HOS - all were interactive.
Mini-Games and Puzzles - There are a lot of them which is something I really like no matter how hard they are - I have spent hours doing some puzzles as I do not like being beaten! However I would say these ones were fairly easy but some took a bit of time #5 minutes#. If you hate mini games or puzzles this might not be the game for you, but check it out first.
Game Play - logical but there are a few scenes that are a bit obscure.
Collectibles - There are dragon emblems to collect and they are pretty much "in your face" usually when you have completed a mini-puzzle/game, once you have clollected three you are automatically shown a page with a story about the family or the evil Draco!
In my opinion - this was a fairly relaxing game and exciting in places, although it had it's moments of confusion but then it could have been me as I was meant to be working so rushed through it.
Please do not dismiss a game after only 15-20 minutes of play, finish the demo and then think about it. Show less

Yes, we had more similar stories with kidnapped children, but this one was logical, very interesting and very nice told.
The mini games were not only good, but also nice designed. And the music... OK, I'm the biggest violin-fan of the whole universum, so my opinion is maybe a little bit prejudiced. :-)
The bonus chapter made the main story complete, and I'm also grateful for the nice winter scenes.
There aren't any collectibles. Or I didn't find any. ;-) It was also a relief for me: if I want to find my children, I won't collect birds or music sheets. And the items, which opened the story book, were also easily to find.
Thank you so much Dark Blue Games and BFG for the pleasent time and for this amazing game! Agnes Show less

I have enjoyed the demo and intend buying this game. It has different twists that I have not seen before. Without going into detail I think this game is a winner for me. Maybe not in the top 10 but certainly enjoyable enough to add to my repertoire of games. I am finicky and this was a hit on my list!!

This game comes as a surprise to me. When it started, i thought the graphics were kind of weird, as they were kind of different, from what i am used to in these kind of games. But, keep playing people and you get that is a real new style of how to paint a game - i really loved it after a while. The story is that your children get kidnapped and you try to solve the riddle and get them back. Quite a usual story. But with so many new features. I loved the interactivity of the HO-scenes - as they were really making sense. You did not just to find a key to open a chest and then the HO-scene is over and it meant nothing except to keep you busy. Here it is much more beautifully done. (The one i loved most was the little train, which you had to get going... i just stared and couldn't believe my eyes... it looked so realistic, it felt my heart with joy that someone took the effort to create something so beautiful. The hint-button is okay, charges relatively quickly in casual mode. The music is fine. But i for all love the interactive HO-scenes (and normally i do hate them!!!) and i do love the graphics... it is like really being into the story, not just "okay, it is nicely painted". I just love this game also because the developers had the courage to use a new style and appearance. It is worth a try: play the demo and get hooked:-) Show less

You have to save your daughter, which isn't easy, and when you think you have saved her, you get caught yourself, they need your daughter talent, as well as the actual violin, you find that out in the 'Extra' section
You find hidden doors, as you find a button hidden behind the map in the study, and you have to find mechanical figures as well.
I highly recommend this game

This is possibly the most "complete" game of 2014. It has highly interactive HOS (not too many), dioramas and lots of very imaginative minigames. The devs, not one of the most frequent on BF, have done a wonderful job and have set a great standard for other HOPS.
I recommend this game!
