BASED ON COMPLETED GAME

I've read some reviews from people who played the demo saying they've played this game before in some form or another. I beg to differ! They certainly haven't played THIS game! What a breath of fresh air!

The story drew me in from moment one! Love the mystery and art of the Druids. Beautiful graphics! Avalon was eye candy! I felt like I was part of a movie story board. ...Show more

BASED ON COMPLETED GAME

I've read some reviews from people who played the demo saying they've played this game before in some form or another. I beg to differ! They certainly haven't played THIS game! What a breath of fresh air!

The story drew me in from moment one! Love the mystery and art of the Druids. Beautiful graphics! Avalon was eye candy! I felt like I was part of a movie story board. Loved the ANGLES of view! Such imagination!

HOS that break the old molds! Such a variety, not just the overused list type. So pleased to be able to pick up and object and move it WITHIN THE SCENE, like I held it in my hand. I have been LONGING to see this happen. Never understood having to click on an item, have it go to inventory, then click on it again to use it. It may not seem like a big deal, but after you've played a certain number of these games, you'll find that detail to be downright innovative!

Puzzles are my favorite and I wasn't disappointed. Everything from pairs matching (tiered levels of difficulty) to "thinkers". All workable with time, lovely to look at, and FUN!

Lovely music. There were a couple of areas I hated to leave because the music was so enchanting. Wish I had it to play in my home!

This SE has achievements and collectibles! Mosaic parts that will be useful later in the game and MISTLETOE. Mistletoe, not because its holiday time, but because of its sacredness to the Druids. Loved that connection.

This game does come with a jumpable map but I found that I really didn't use it until close to the end of the game. It doesn't show active areas and I saw that as a good thing. Made me think! The story was linear enough with what was, to me, a logical progression. I wasn't collecting items, wondering what possible use something would be further on. That alone was refreshing!

Loved, loved, LOVED this game! I was totally absorbed the entire time and hated to see it end. These devs are right on the money and I will be happy to spend mine on future offerings. Worth every penny. Thank you Orchid Games and BFG! Show less

Review of completed game.

Wow, this has to be the best game I've played in years. It has everything a fishie could want. There is:

* Voiceovers;
* Casual, Advanced and Expert modes of play;
* Interactive map;
* 19 achievements;
* Collect 40 mosaic pieces; and
* Collect 70 mistletoe twigs.

Review of completed game.

Wow, this has to be the best game I've played in years. It has everything a fishie could want. There is:

* Voiceovers;
* Casual, Advanced and Expert modes of play;
* Interactive map;
* 19 achievements;
* Collect 40 mosaic pieces; and
* Collect 70 mistletoe twigs.

I played on Expert mode throughout the game. However, you can change your mode of play any time.

The graphics are gorgeous - everything is so clear and easy to see.

Sound is very good. Music is haunting and quite beautiful.

There are a variety of hidden object games - standard, silhouette and interactive. These had a good level of challenge and I played every one with relish. I really enjoyed them.

The mini-games are varied and had a great challenge. There are the usual sliding tiles, rotating discs, making potions, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed these as well.

You also have to collect 40 mosaic pieces and 70 mistletoe twigs (they have little white flowers) throughout the game, even including hidden object games. A hand DOES NOT come over these, so please keep a close eye out. If you find all of the mistletoe twigs then you get an achievement. The mosaic pieces are used as part of the game.

All up the game took me about 9 hours to play - not skipping any HOS or mini-games. So really good value for money.

I believe that Orchid Games have done a terrific job and will definitely be keeping an eye out in the future for them. They are so good that I think they could be contenders as the best gamers for 2015.

I would definitely recommend that you put this game in your collection. It is an absolute gem and my most favourite game now. Well done Orchid Games. Show less

I absolutely LOVE this game. I am basing this review on the demo which is only one-hour. However, from what I have played, it has kept my interest and will be a definite purchase for me. Good job, dev. With a little work this could have been a CE. Hopefully we will see more games from you in the future. Please don't fade away like a shrinking violet.

Here is the breakdown of the game from, the demo:

LEVELS: 3 Casual (Sparkles) Advanced (no sparkles) Expert (Still has hints and skips)

GRAPHICS: Excellent and realistic. However, the characters do not demonstrate any mouth movements. However, this is an SE and not necessarily expected.

HOP SCENES: Puzzle-like and very well done. The one I played in the demo had a puzzle -like silhouette HOP scene in which once you located the item, you used the item within the scene to further the game.

INVENTORY: Interactive and can be locked

PUZZLES: During the demo I encountered only two games - a color swap puzzle to open a door and a swap puzzle placing similar items together. Both were well-done and fairly easy.

EXTRA GOODIES: A. 19 Achievements B. Collect mosaic pieces for a mosaic puzzles C. Map indicates active areas.

My first review ever. I've played almost 200 games from BFGs and I gotta say, I really enjoyed this one. I won't go into story, graphics, and all of the in's and out's. I just wanted to let everyone know that this game was so much fun to play. I didn't get bored the first time playing it.

Your character is a famed archeologist who gets a mysterious letter which sets YOU on the path to ..... save the world. Of course! What else would your character have to do - lol.

The graphics are not detailed very well. I'd almost say this was an older game. The music is creepy. The characters are ... creepy. The locations are .... creepy. This is a VERY dark and creepy game.

There are 3 modes of difficulty - casual to hard. If you can, I would adjust the brightness of your computer. It's not an option in "options" or "settings" but I would definitely recommend it. This is truly a DARK game.. For instance, I spent a LOT of time in the dark .... and in dark caves .... in the dark.

There is a map, transportable, but with no legends and no indications of what the areas are ... nothing is marked. There is a journal that holds clues and notes.

There are HOGs (I think) and they are varied by silhouette, find the pieces, etc. There are mini games. Most required patience. None were difficult (and I'm not always the brightest at mini games) but the instructions were .... limited.

There are Achievements and Collectibles. The Collectibles are none to easy to locate. 40 mosaic pieces and 70 pieces of mistletoe (which recharges your "hint" button).

This game has TONS of mystery. I had SCORES of questions that really didn't get answered during the demo. Why is everything so "dark"? I don't think the story required it. It's definitely not "mood" lighting. That the prophecy will begin in 7 hours is mentioned at the beginning of the game ..... then 6 hours (near the end of the demo hour). Does this allude to the possible length of the game? And what happens if you DON'T finish the game in the alluded 7 hours???? Do we have to start over?

How is your character intertwined in this prophecy? Why are we collecting mistletoe? This CERTAINLY has no air of holly, jolly Christmas and old St. Nick about it. Do these things make it more ..... appealing? Don't know. There is ABSOLUTELY NO HAND HOLDING in this game and the hint button was used often.

Dark, creepy, no real instructions, no sense of direction .... yet, when the demo ended (and it ended because the time was up and NOT because it was the end of the demo - YAY) I wanted ..... MORE. More time to work out what I was supposed to be doing and why.

I would definitely NOT recommend this for beginners since there is such a lack of ..... everything useful. I played on "casual" and had a difficult time. Experts would probably LOVE this game.

Lots of "dark". Caves. A lighthouse. Collectibles and a Prophecy. Is this enough for me to purchase the game? The lack of ANYTHING and EVERYTHING useful certainly is. I just don't know what I'm going to do at this point.

for some reason the launch of this brill game slipped under my radar..thankfully I found it among some dire new releases! great graphics-sound quality/ challenging mini games/excellent variety of interactive hidden object puzzles/ great story line/ maintained my interest and I still haven't completed it...I just want it to go on! added bonus of windowed mode/lockable inventory - More like this ...Show more

Unbelievable! This is what a HOPA should be like! Very good, NEW story and great HOP's and puzzles! Finally a game that makes you think and use your gray matter. The story is AMAZING from beginning to end and keeps you glued to your chair! Enchanting music!

I got about 56 the first time... but only needed help 2x in the whole game... I do my games on advanced or intermed.

I think it was beautifully done... do not se too many SE that werent made for a CE of this ...Show more

This game was SO much fun; I loved everything about it. Normally I don't play HOGS (prefer straight adventure games if I can find them) but this game's hogs were so great...the hidden stuff was appropriate(ie one would find such items in each area, no rubber duckies, etc) and had plenty of interactive elements... The graphics and voices were fabulous and the puzzles challenging but not head ...Show more

The story was intriguing( I love druids and adore France) so I was in bliss. It was nice and long and now I am trying to find another to meet its' standards!! Looking forward to the next by this developer!!! :) Show less
