This is one of the most beautiful Match 3 games I've ever played. The gems are so crystal clear they literally sparkle. This is one of the most beautiful Match 3 games I've ever played. The gems are so crystal clear they literally sparkle. You can choose a Relaxed untimed mode, Time Limited mode, or Limited move mode which requires you to complete the level in a specific amount of moves. As you earn money playing the Match 3 game, you can build nine different castles, one section at a time, and use those completed pictures as wallpapers. As You progress you will unlock 20 different Mahjong Minigames that can be played anytime, which also earns some gold that can be used in the shop to purchase upgrades.

The goal for each level is to make matches on the yellow tiles and allow sections of amulets to drop off the board by making matches under them. Some tiles are blocked with chains, boxes etc. some of which contain bonuses. Random coins will appear on the board that can be collected with a single click before they disappear. Matches of 4 gems will give you a rainbow gem on the board that can be used to match with any color tile. matches of 5 tiles give you a Helix that will take out an entire row or column.

The Shop has several bonuses to purchase, Bombs to destroy a 3x3 area, Fireballs, Lightning, Chroma Frenzy which randomly converts 6 gems into multi colored gems, Chain destroyer to clear all chains, Launchers, Hammers, Mana Bottles to refill powers, Chests to hold more gems, and even extra Lives, enjoy! Ah, where to begin? I have loved the Jewel Match series from the start with it's gorgeous music and dazzling gems. This is, in my humble opinion, what a truly awesome Match-3 game should be. Now, there are even more levels to play and castles to create plus the added fun of re-playable mini-games. When you're done, you can keep the castle views as wallpapers. Lovely!

GRAPHICS: 5 out of 5. They were nice before, but now with the quality of HD to push it to the next level, there is little more than Bravo! to be said.

SOUND: 5 out of 5. The music is perfectly matched (excuse the pun). Delicate and ethereal, you can have no better soundtrack than this one for this game. There are options for adjusting the sound to your tastes.

GAMEPLAY: 5 out of 5. There is a full tutorial as you play and nothing really difficult to learn about it. It's all quite straight-forward and well explained. The movement of the cursor is smooth and easy.

FUN FACTOR: 5 out of 5. Excellent game to relax to if you choose to play that mode or you can up the pressure by playing against a timer. There are bonuses to save up for, such as the hammer and deluxe hammer for breaking difficult tiles and chains. Or you can challenge yourself by not using anything than you matching skills to get the job done.

OVERALL: 20 out of 20. Perfection! As always, try before you buy. *two massive thumbs up!* Show less

Like some other reviewers, I've bought every Jewel Match game since the original Jewel Match 2, and played many of them several times. This one is the best yet, certainly visually. It is still a "classic" in the sense of having fairly standard power-ups and rewards for large matches, but the castle scenes are awesome, including the backgrounds. I've played 102 levels and, since there is a new castle to build every 20 levels, I'm on my 6th castle, which promises to be at least equally as beautiful as the first five.

I only play untimed, due to my stiff, arthritic hands that just don't do "fast" any more. So I can't speak for the other game modes. In relaxed mode, the coins available to purchase power-ups are not too generous, and you can't possibly get everything. I happen to like chain breaker a lot, and have been working on maxing that. Also, power-ups have to be refilled for each level, and the mana bottles necessary to refill them don't always appear. This makes the game a bit harder than earlier ones in the series, as I recall.

This is definitely a "must have" for Match-3 fans! Show less

Great game. Played in the relaxed mode and totally lost track of time. Background music is very restful. Graphics are excellent. Enjoyed the addition of the majong games to play for extra "money" The only other m3 game that comes close (in my estimation) and is made by the same co is Babylonia. I'm on my 6th "name". I think this game will be played even more often

This is the 'ideal' match-3 for me. It has three game modes (timed, limited moves, relaxed) so there really is a mode for every player. There are minigames! There is also a 'shop' for you to buy bonuses to use in-game. You can 'collect' magical items on the board for added points.

You have 'castles' to rebuild as well. Not a thrilling component to the game as all you are doing is 'adding' an element by purchasing it.

The only thing that would make this game better is a trophy system - but it's not enough to gripe about. There are plenty of other attributes that make this game great. Not to mention the gorgeous HD graphics.

Give the demo a try! I'm sure glad I did! Show less

This is one of the best match-3 games out there, and now it's remade in HD! Jewel Match has a certain feel to it that is unmatched by most other match-3 games. It's hard to describe, but it just moves so perfectly. There is a zen feeling playing a Jewel Match game, and this is one of the best ones.
