Open up restaurants in 48 States, Solitaire style! This is a Higher/Lower type solitaire where cards can be played either one higher or one lower regardless of suit, however, if you play cards of the same suit, you get bonus points to fill the star meter quicker. Open up restaurants in 48 States, Solitaire style! This is a Higher/Lower type solitaire where cards can be played either one higher or one lower regardless of suit, however, if you play cards of the same suit, you get bonus points to fill the star meter quicker. There are only 4 styles of cards and 3 different face cards available, but there are Achievements to earn and there are bonus games available, Freeplay Solitaire, Tri-peaks Solitaire and Five Peaks Solitaire.

There are three modes of difficulty, Casual which has a higher chance of receiving special cards, higher points are awarded and you can play cards from Ace to King and vice versa. Medium mode gives you a medium chance of receiving special cards and the points you receive are normal points, Ace to King and vice versa still applies. In Hard mode, there is a low chance of receiving special cards AND the Chef cards are harder to get to, Ace to King and vice versa does not apply.

Everything in this game is related to a restaurant theme, so some of the cards are covered with Bacon that require you to uncover the tongs card, and some cards are covered with fried eggs that require finding the spatula card other cards are covered in Grease that requires you to find the cleaner card, you get the picture, kinda creative if you think about it. The goal in each game is to remove all Chef Cards, some other goals are occasionally given such as making a large combo. Unless you go into settings and opt out of the AUTO FINISH feature, the game will end when the level goals have been met, even if cards remain on the board. If you don't complete the level goals, and runout of cards, you will have to replay the level until you do . The money you earn can be used in the shop to purchase Kitchen themed items such as a Mixer that will show you how many cards are left in the deck.

Some of the cards are Special cards that give you a Mini Game to play for extra points, (they can be skipped) There are two different ones in the demo, Burger Run and Leaky Pipes. Burger run is a fast paced game where you assemble as many burgers as possible before the timer runs out, with the same ingredients as shown on the left, and more ingredients are added as you progress. The pipes game is the same principle using different angled pipes to stop the leaks. After yesterday's solitaire disaster of a game, this game has come to the rescue of all solitaire fans, enjoy! I couldn’t help myself and groaned when I saw another solitaire game this morning. Yes, I was prepared to hate it but actually ended up really liking the game. This is a fun one up or one down game but it has a mini game that pops up when you flip a card that triggers the burger run. Even though I normally hate timers in any game I had to laugh as I fumbled my way through building a burger order so that I could beat that silly timer. Before I knew it my demo time was almost up but by then I had decided to buy the game.

The technical aspects of the game are fairly simple. No widescreen although that might just be my Windows 7. The graphics are colorful and crisp and the cards are a nice size. I could have done without that repetitive, quirky music so I ended up turning the volume very low.

All in all this is a fun game that I found very entertaining. Even though this type of solitaire is quite abundant I really liked this one. During the game we will unlock levels and build restaurants all over the USA. This one is part builder game and part solitaire and I loved it. As always, I recommend that you try the demo to see if this is a game you will love. Show less

Well, I traveled all 48 states in real life in a big rig, so now I can do it on a game and it's a lot more fun. :) The VO's are done well. The one thing lacking in the game is there's no wild cards as I see of yet. I'm in the 2nd state. As for the store, you can't go shopping when you want. Story: You're getting tired of your old job, and your friends keep telling you your cooking is awesome enough to start a restaurant, and so that's what you decide to do. The goal you set for yourself is to open a restaurant in all 48 states. And so off you go!

Game Play: The game is a one up one down solitaire game like Fairway. The game gives you goals that you must meet before you can carry on. So far the only goals I ran into was to get 3 chef hats and 1 star to continue on with the game. I go for the 3 stars, more money. I am not sure if the goals change which I hope they do. You also have little hazards that you must get rid of so you can play a card. It only has the hazard on one card. If the card is greasy, you need the spray bottle, or if it has an egg on it, you need the spatula, and bacon needs the tongs. There are 10 rounds per state.

Mini games: There are 4, but the only one I ran into so far was making hamburgers. You make as many hamburgers as you can in the allotted time.

Items: The ones I unlocked so far is the mixer which shows you how many cards are left in the draw deck, and the pan which turns over 10% of your cards on the board.

It still is a lot of fun. Maybe give it a try if you like :) Kudos to the team. Show less

Not only is this game lots of fun to play (including nice mini-games that pop up suddenly), but it offers great play for both beginners and advanced players (including experienced klutzes like me). Settings vary from very forgiving to very challenging, So many solitaire games are totally unforgiving of losses, and demand endless replay of levels for forward movement. This is a really good solitaire game. Nice (skippable) minigames. The stars you can earn each level are actually functional, because they are needed to buy your next restaurant in the next State. At your fourth restaurant you can buy a wildcard, wich is a bit to late in my opinion because some levels before that it took me about 15 plays to win those levels. Besides that I like it a lot.

This is a fun solitaire game that you choose the next higher or lower card to use. It has power-ups to purchase with the money you earn. There are interesting and fun little mini-games and goals for each level. Sometimes you get grease on a card and have to find the cleaner to clean it off, or find the tongs to remove some bacon that unlocks another card, etc. Very interesting. :)

This is a typical high/low solitaire game that has a lot to offer. From the imaginative restaurant backgrounds to having to find items during game play to mini games between 'x' number of levels .... it does not disappoint. You can earn up to 3 stars per hand. Each 'state' that you go to, to open a
new restaurant, requires 'x' number of stars so be prepared to replay hands where you haven't reached that achievement. Oh yes!!! There ARE achievements to be earned as well!

Will I purchase it? Ultimately .... at some point. I have soooooooooooo many other solitaire games to get through first! lol

An amusing and entertaing solitaire game that is great for all levels of expertise. Come along and join me 'playing' through the US and ...................

fine game, but not fairway, levels is easy and your really don't need to buy upgrades, to clear a levels...nice small mini games in the games, if you look for at, so you can let your brain rest, buy this game :-)

I thought this game would be boring--but it's pretty fun! Love the variety of the music and of the game and mini-games. Pretty simple mini-games (geared toward the youngsters) The game goes on FOREVER, 10 levels for each of 48 states...not sure why they left out Hawaii and Alaska!
