I really have enjoyed this game and continue to do so! It might come off as overly simplistic, but it remains to be challenging even after the first time playing it.

I've played it about 5 times all of the way through and I'm not bored with it yet.

I hope they come out with another one!

This is a Time Management game with a rustic wild, wild west theme, requiring you to hire local workers to construct buildings, and a sheriff to keep the peace. New goals will be given at the beginning of each level, such as building up the population and constructing specific buildings. Some buildings can only be constructed if the town's population can support it, therefor you build lower level buildings first and upgrade them as the town grows. The first thing you must do is hire workers, then you click on a free land space and build a house for dwellers. Ranches must be built to produce food, Lumber, Gold and Silver mines can be built to produce a cash flow as well as materials needed to build. Some townsfolk will pop up on the screen occasionally, to inform you that there isn't enough food or no places to live, which will help you make the necessary adjustments. Each level goal will have a time limit, in this case, you will have a specific amount of days to complete the tasks, and you will earn Gold, Silver or Bronze trophies in the form of a sheriff's badge, and there are achievements to earn as well. Icons will be posted which will allow you the option of completing a quest for additional points. You will eventually build towns that include General Stores, Churches and even a Saloon, and as with every prosperous town, the occasional bandit will come along to rob from the hard working people of the town, so be prepared and hire that sheriff as soon as possible! I have only played half of the trial. It reminds me of the Westward games, only not as detailed and challenging. If I could do a 3 1/2 star rating I would. Advanced players may not find the challenge they are looking for with this one.

In a genre that does not get a lot of games, I found this game worth the play, although I found more fun in breaking down the logic behind each of the buildings (see forum for tips and tricks).
Some of the design choices did not make sense to me - like allowing wood and stone production with zero population and not allowing food stockpiling - but all in all, an entertaining game.

I recommend this game!

The first version was to short IMO. This version is a little more detailed and challenging. The graphics are a little rough around the edges but do not take away from game play.

When I played the game it reminded me of the Be A King series. Same way of playing, same sounds, but with a western theme. I like the Be A King series and I like this game as well, but I think it's not necessary to buy it, since I have two Be A King games. These are the kind of games I'm looking for instead of all those horror themed HOGs.

There's no difficulty option to choose from at the start; however, I did notice that levels 1-10 are labeled as "easy difficulty", and levels 11-15 (I only made i through 15 playing the demo) are labeled as "medium difficulty" once you complete the level and it appears on the map.

The music is old-timey western, which was fun. You can turn it down or off if you wish to. The graphics were old west dirt brown and cartoonish, which are expected for the theme I guess - nothing spectacular here.

I remember from the first installment there were these really annoying, and obtrusive dialogue popups in your face throughout the game-play. This is still around; however, it appears the developers have relegated that annoyance to the bottom corner of the screen so it's less annoying. Although, being told in the dialogue, "if you need more money, sell buildings or build a gold mine" when the option to build a gold mine wasn't available on some levels was annoying to me. It seemed that certain building options aren't available unless they are part of your objective. This is a perfect example of what could have been included in the tutorial.

The wanted posters are still part of the game-play, and as with the first installment, are still small, and off to the side of your screen. I think a bell rings when one appears (because blink and you might not notice the actual wanted poster icon), but the bell ring may get lost in the cacophony of other sounds going on within the game.

Another reviewer mentioned the sheriff being terrible at his job. Well, I too thought the same thing with mine, until I discovered the magic of repeatedly clicking on the bandit when he arrived. I'd say about 8 times out of 10, my sheriff prevailed and arrested the bandit. Again, this would have been nice to include in the short-but-sweet tutorial devs.

I completed 14 levels and the demo ended in the middle of the 15th, and I finished with gold on 12 of those 14 levels. A lot of the times the confirmation that you completed the level didn't pop up right away leaving me to think, well did I really complete my objective? I'd start building more things, when suddenly, oh hey you completed your objectives pops up!

I want to say this second installment appears better than the first, but it's been a while since I demo'd the first so I can't say with great certainty that it is. I might consider purchasing this at a reduced price.
