Oh no, the king has been poisoned but the healers have no cure. An old wizard steps up and tells the queen he can save her precious mate but he needs to collect very rare ingredients. Since the wizard is old, the queen recommends YOU, to go on a quest to find the rarest of plants to save the king and the kingdom.

There are very few controls in the game and I didn’t see where we could select a gameplay mode. One of the things about My Island Kingdom is that the levels must be completed by using only a specified number of moves. I was a bit leery at first because I am fairly new to playing TM games but I found that I completed the first level with plenty of moves left. The tutorial is excellent and provides tips on how to accomplish tasks with the least amount of moves.

The graphics are quite bright but the music is that annoying fast paced beat that I hate and the first thing I did was turn it as low as possible. I tend to like to play games at my leisure and at fortunately completing a level within a certain number of moves makes a level more strategic than having to beat the clock. However, each level has progressively more difficult tasks and what a surprise when I found that there is a timer on the higher stages in each level. I was blissfully playing the stage when suddenly it ended and told me I ran out of time. Fortunately, I had the option of moving onto the next level. As I become better at the game, I can go back and try to beat that ole timer so I can earn more XP.

Still even though there is a time factor in the higher stages, this is still an excellent TM game. I have been a huge HOPA fan and I always avoided the TM games as if they were the plague. That changed when I encountered a TM game in the autumn of 2015 that was spectacular. Since that time I have been trying more of these games and have found them to be very entertaining. Some are better than others and, at least for me, My Island Kingdom is an excellent game. I don’t know if I will ever be able to play the higher stages in each level but since I have the option of moving forward it is okay. If you are new to playing TM games, this might just be an excellent game to help you get started. As always, please try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy. Show less

Like most you have your goals to meet but with this one your only allowed a certain amount of moves how's that for hi-jinks ! Yes ladies and gentlemen your gonna have to use your old jack in the box, head meat, noodle,or noggin call it what you want but whatever you call it your gonna have to use it on this one.

The graphics are really good bright and colorful. There is only one mode of play with this one not many of the levels are timed as I said this one is based on moves but some levels do have a timer along with the limited moves now how's that for hi-jinks. Each level has four stages and each one is more difficult than the other but you can move on to the next level without completing all the stages of the level your on you can come back to it but playing through the stages does award your character with experience and with this experience you are able to upgrade your character and get bonuses for resources you have to collect and trust me this helps and will slow down the cussing or at least it did for me.

This game is so fun and out of the box you can't help but get addicted to it and since time management is my all time favorite genre I jumped on it and I have to admit at first I wasn't crazy about the limited moves and was doing lots of cussing but once I was able to start getting the bonuses it became easier for me to be able to complete the levels but not always on the first try I did have to repeat some and the cussing did slow down.

This game requires you to think and with the right amount of planning and upgrades you can do it and once you are able to do that the game becomes really fun and pulls you in and your screaming for more because it's just that fun and crazy. Kudos to the dev's for stepping outside of the box with this one.

Thank you dev's and Big Fish for this crazy fun game. Give the demo a try it might make you cuss but you just might have some of the craziest fun you've ever had. have fun everybody. Show less

Very well thought out strategy game and different from the standard fare. Within each level of play you can (but not must, well so far at least) play up to 4 different levels of difficulty, the last of which is timed. Getting as much XP as possible is crucial to acquiring spells and skills that get you through some of the tougher levels. Definitely requires some thought, and trial and error at times, to get through a level. I love time management and strategy games and this one fitted the bill perfectly for me. Show less

You can move on to the next Level without playing the 4th part and save that for later if you choose. The parts of each Level do get harder as you go. A tip I finally figured out . . . play the 3rd part again, prior to going for the 4th. This lets you plan your strategy on what to do.

Almost forget to mention you can queue up tasks. This is almost always a MUST for me.

You can also buy Upgrades. The 4th Levels give you the most experience points to spend.

Really enjoying the game. Hope they come out with a sequel.

I was hoping for a new game and tried this one. I didn't like it at first. It seemed too simplistic. Once I got going I was hooked! it is challenging, fun, and addictive! I love it when you can customize the character and this one has a lot of options.

I recommend this game!

This game is a somewhat different build TM game. It is challenging and does take some thinking. I really enjoyed it. It is nice to see something different that isn't just filled with a bunch of irritating things I have to fix. Thanks!

I like the limited moves - it really makes you think about each move and is it necessary. The 1st stage of each level is quite easy, but the other stages get progressively more challenging. I have had to replay the 4th stage several times. So, it is not too easy and not impossible, the challenge level is just right. Initially I was a bit taken aback by the not so fantastic graphics, but it turns out that this is rather fun indeed. In fact I am uninstalling and re-installing it to play again ... it doesn't offer user name selection.

It's nice to have a TM game that isn't just a click-fest, and needs some thought. It's not a timed game, but you have a set number of moves, so you do have to think where to go next and to remember to time it right to get the extra moves.
I just wish the upgrades were easier to get! ie: you got more XP's per level. However, now that I'm am playing earlier stages, but at the different levels, this seems to be improving that.

Overall, an enjoyable TM game that is a bit different from the same old format and a buy for me. Show less
